Hey Bob these UCAV are pack with computers and there is no room to add anymore fuel without redesigning. You have to remember the CG is going to change once the bomb is released. I can also tell you this UCAV is not going to pull 30-40gs with the SI boom still on it. The SI boom is the pole attach to the nose and SI stands for Special Instrumentation. The engine placement allows the wings to be further back not to mention the LEMAC and TEMAC calls for a aft wing design.
it looks like its at an extreme nose up trimjust to stay level. i bet it could be more efficient at cruse if they move the wings up further... as in move the C of P closer to the C of G. it could also carry more payload or fuel in theory since there is less drag...
Actually, as part of the weapons release tests, all weapons must be released through the complete flight regime. What you are probably seeing is a trim setting for a very low airspeed. Since these aircraft have inflight reconfigurable flight controls, you really can't assess very much by what you see as there is nothing to give you a speed reference. In maneuvers these aircraft will regularly pull 30-40 G's, are wickedly stealthy, and some of the larger ones are very fast!

30-40 G's for the aircraft is nothing, they have gone as high ar 56 G's, no pilot, who cares. These autonomous aircraft are almost as maneuverable as some air to air missles. Not sure if this particular UCAV has thrust vectoring, not sure it is needed as the aeroelastic bits and pieces can do a lot more than moving the engines thrust around. They are relatively light as there is no need for a cockpit, ECS, egress systems, and a majority of their construction is composite!

Hey Bob these UCAV are pack with computers and there is no room to add anymore fuel without redesigning. You have to remember the CG is going to change once the bomb is released. I can also tell you this UCAV is not going to pull 30-40gs with the SI boom still on it. The SI boom is the pole attach to the nose and SI stands for Special Instrumentation. The engine placement allows the wings to be further back not to mention the LEMAC and TEMAC calls for a aft wing design.

it looks like its at an extreme nose up trimjust to stay level. i bet it could be more efficient at cruse if they move the wings up further... as in move the C of P closer to the C of G. it could also carry more payload or fuel in theory since there is less drag...

Actually, as part of the weapons release tests, all weapons must be released through the complete flight regime. What you are probably seeing is a trim setting for a very low airspeed. Since these aircraft have inflight reconfigurable flight controls, you really can't assess very much by what you see as there is nothing to give you a speed reference. In maneuvers these aircraft will regularly pull 30-40 G's, are wickedly stealthy, and some of the larger ones are very fast!

30-40 G's for the aircraft is nothing, they have gone as high ar 56 G's, no pilot, who cares. These autonomous aircraft are almost as maneuverable as some air to air missles. Not sure if this particular UCAV has thrust vectoring, not sure it is needed as the aeroelastic bits and pieces can do a lot more than moving the engines thrust around. They are relatively light as there is no need for a cockpit, ECS, egress systems, and a majority of their construction is composite!

The three that we can perceive are forwards/backwards, left/right and up/down (or length, width and depth) the fourth dimension in this is time/space. We can measure some of the effects of this but can't actually perceive it as we cant forming a model of it from our dayly lives. Now who is to say that there is no soul, its just in another dimension that we can't perceive and understand?
