There was something that said that if they had asked the actor of Zelos's previous voice he would have done it. The same probably went with all the others. The only voices that were still the same were Colette and Kratos.

Ignoring the article I cant find, most refer to the manga showing the "canon" relationships, and in the mass crossover games there were pairs of characters who got the title "Love-Love?"

Lloyd and Colette were the pair with that title, and that was the manga pairing.

But, since the game itself was designed to be open ended, I suppose that you can even argue with the author himself that its up to you the player.

I actually dont mind either way. I prefer Colette, but Sheena was a great character and I think the first game itself did a lot to show Sheena had just as much support as Colette.

So, from a narrative standpoint, we could go either way.

Oh gezz, it wouldve helped if you read all my comments -_-. Well, a while back on a TV tropes page there was link to an interview of the author that said ColetteXLloyd. However, I cant find the TV tropes page or article itself to confirm so I figure that was just a foot in mouth moment for me.

The manga indeed still had the canon pairing of ColetteXLloyd, but as IgneoBern pointed out somewhere that we could regard the manga and video game as two different canons.

Due to the fact that Lloyd journeyed alone in this game, I assume Namco wants to make it look like Lloyd did not chose anyone in ToS to help him on his journey. Manga is a different story, they took out Sheena's crush on Lloyd almost entirely.

ToS made it clear that someone was chosen and the explanation was that between ToS and ToS2 Lloyd was traveling with someone gathering ex-sheres until events of ToS2 began to unfold and Lloyd ditched her/him and ran solo for the cores.

Apparently Lloyd is kind of a jerk like that :/

That's not accurate. In ToS, Lloyd is 17 and Sheena is 19. In ToS: DotNW, Lloyd is 19 and Sheena is 21. Sheena is two years older than Lloyd.

Yes. it is indeed possible... For starters... you know the small round blue places in the world maps where u get a talk. When it's any1 except sheena use the wrong answer. That makes the bond between the characters weaken. Helps alot. Also... leave colette out of ur party and sheena in.

What I love about these scenes is that they make ALL of them work for every character. They look REALLY well into how a relationship with each character would work. Lloyd is a completely different person in each one; like, there are no hints of Colloyd in this one.

So each relationship comes off as fully believable and heartwarming...even if we ourselves don't agree with the pairing.
