Also, so what if a show uses a song from antoher show. It's not like that particular song BELONGS to the show. It's not a crime, the two shows have the same musical personality, and both writers must have the same taste in music. I've seen songs used on movies after they've been used on other movies, and people don't make a huge deal about it. I absolutely LOVE Scrubs, &I also happen to love Grey's. They feel so different from eachother, and make me feel different things.

You're right. Scrubs used Follow Through in "My Self Examination." Committed used that same song in two episodes, but in such different ways, even in the context of a romantic relationship, that you can't say it was a rip.

Sadly, I've seen the same joke/plot in several seriess. It's usually due to bankrupt writer imaginations, but not always, i.e. War of the Worlds and Independence Day.

I actually liked the episodes of Grey's I've seen, but I liked it "originally."

Why do people complare Scrubs &Grey's? I really dont get it. One's a drama, and one's a comedy. Of course a comedy is going to make people feel good about the show. It's not all that consistent, no real plots. It's out to make people laugh and feel good. If you want to watch stories of relationships, and actually SEE a surgery and get in depth, then watch Grey's Anatomy. They are completely different shows. Two different categories. No point in comparing the two. Stop being immature children.

The Greeks recognized comedy and drama were, essetially, the same thing, hence the two faced icon of comedy and drama. It is not childish to compare two shows, set in hospitals, where the "drama" is based primarily on the relationship of the doctors and nurses with each other. That Grey's has won more awards than Scrubs or e.r. goes without saying. That Grey's has had an original idea goes without evidence.

BTW: If someone in a drama tells a joke, is it then a comedy?

im sorry but scrubs is at least partly drama. see "my screw up", "my lunch", my fallen hero" etc. as for the emotional pressure on yong dpctors scrubs portrays it brilliantly

Scrubs is an emotional show.

When Doctor Cox's brother-in-law died, that was the first moment he showed real emotion for someone. I cry every time I see that episode... because it is amazing the sympathy that we can feel for one human being. We are all human, and no matter the person, we will always cry when death strikes, weather it is a complete stranger or a long-lover family member.

What's wrong with me using the song for a Grey's Anatomy vid even if it was on Scrubs? Actually, I was talking about Grey's use of "How to Save A Life," not this vid. The work you did was very nice. That being said, I didn't enjoy it. I couldn't get beyond Grey's being so derivative, and that was the comment. It was not an attempt to flame you, or your work, which I might have liked if not for the aforementioned.

no seriously dont go there, grey's honestly doesnt copy music from any other tv shows, i have heard the same songs on so many tv shows its crazy but when grey's puts a song on for a scene the lyrics to that song matches exactly what is going on in the scene, they do it on purpose so they really arent, medical shows are alike in so many ways

I love both shows. It does annoy me when Grey's blantantly steals ideas from Scrubs, but I don't see what's wrong with me using a song that was on Scrubs for a Grey's music video when I'm just messing around. I just love the song and felt like making a video with it and I only had Grey's Anatomy clips on my computer.
