hey man i have a question. i have a logic 1400watt amp 4 channels with a sony explod 1200watt sub. i have it hooked up to channel one but idk if its at 4 ohms or 2. id like to run it at 2 ohms. the amp says 2 ohm stable but i dont have a owners maual for it so i was wondering how do i run the single sub at 2ohm? thanks
@carterflaman wrong . both coils are working hooked up like that , u use 1 pos from 1 coil and the neg on the other, leaves you with a open pos and neg . those go to your amp . and the sub can be better this way. wiring in series is better in my opinion. i have 4 dual 2 ohm subs wired up and the final load is .9 ohm with your way it would be 0.000001 ohm killing any amp made.
@mazda2284 u should have did parrell wiring but ur set up is diffrent from mine positive of one coil to positive of other coil same with negative then run wire a negative wire from one coil to amp then positive of other coil to the amp and u will drop ohms in half without chance of ruining
@chevyislife you probably have 1 dvc 4 ohm subwoofer . if you run lots of subs it get harder and much different. if you have a dual .7 ohm coil subwoofer and wire it how you did most amps cant take that . the final ohm is .35 about . if you wire it how i did it would be 1.4 ohms and would be safe on most mono amps
@mazda2284 thats what i said but i put my comment my friend saw video like this and wired his positive to negative and so on with just 1 dvc and wrecked his sub so i just cleared it up for people with 1 dvc this isnt proper it could work but wont get max of sub or amp this way u did it
@chevyislife what your friend did is took the pos and neg from 1 coil and wired them together...lol and then just wired 1 coil to the amp.... you need to use pos from Coil A to the Neg of Coil B ... you should have a pos on 1 coil open and a neg on the other,,, works perfect..
@mazda2284 see ur wiring it in series which doesnt change much of the ohm wen u wire it in parrallel like i said u can drop it to 2 ohm or 1 ohm depending on subs i got a 4 to 2 ohm handling amp mono block hooke up in parrallel with 4 ohm dvc kicker will bring it to 2 ohm to match the amp and get more power heres vid on parralel watch?v=1icfF0r30ls
@carterflaman actually he is dead on with the wiring, the only way (in my opinion) his sub would blow with this wiring configuration, is if his sub cant handle a 2 ohm load
@mazda2284 i have a dvc 4 ohm amp and i have it set up in a series, but only one channel on my 1600 watt amp works, so if i hook it up mono will it be ok?
@Civicboy1991 on what ? the sub or the amp ? if you only use one coil of the sub it will FRY ! if your talking bout using only one channel of the amp that is fine.

@wupass02 thats simple, you connect the coils in paralell not series. if you connect both coils toguther posative to posative negative to negative, it will bring the impedance to 2 ohms. if you wire them series as this guy shows it gives you 8 ohms. you want the lower impedance. 4 ohms series with another 4 ohms = 8.
4 ohms parelel to the second 4 ohm coil brings you to 2 ohms.
i have a 420w max amp with 2 channels, and a 4 dual voice coil sub. is it possible to do a parallel wiring on the sub giving it 2 ohms, and bridging it to the amplifier? i'm not sure if it will burn.
would this video be the same for wiring a dual 2 ohm on a 2 channel amp? i have a mean machine 15 autotek sub and a vr1202 crossfire amp and not sure how to wire it up without burning the amp out
i have a mono amp(infinty 1600a) and i have two subs both dual voice coils(4ohms per voice coil) how do i wire them?? because right now, whenever a hard bass beat comes on the subs make a pop sound and turn off for like 8 seconds?!?!?! help please
@jwizzledizzle111 sounds like they are over powered, or they are damaged. but if u want to try wire them both in series , each subs being 8 ohms wire each sub to the amp. ''will make a 4 ohm load and they should be fine''

I wire my dual voice coil subs, with a series , from + to -, there Type R 12's and i just dont feel like im getting the amount of power from them with my V12 Expert Amp , i have them Bridged, Are the settings wrong or Do i have the Subs wired wrong , i have only turned them on once to make sure they are working right.
@Dark3792 well if it dual 4 ohm then ur @ 8 ohm and the amp puts out max @ 4 ohm bridged. if u wired it the other way u would be @ 2 ohm and it will blow ur amp, best thing u could do is buy either a dual 2 ohm sub and wire it the same way and it would be @ 4 ohm or buy a mono block amp.
I got it all figured out the only issue im having now is my Input setting on my Amp is a 2/1 Channel Amp and right now i have it Parallel in a inclosed Box, connected to my v12 expert amp Set to 2ohms instead of using a Series, then i have then Input set to 1(mono), instead of 2/1 Channel, Should i have it Set to 2/1 Channel or 1mono
its a 2/1 Channel Amp , Should i wire it to the same way you do in this video Or Should be fine running the 1400 Watt Amp to the 500 Watt subs , to their own Bridge Channel, or will it ruin the amp

@mazda2284 haha it is easy if u got a dual 8 ohm u can have ehter 4 ohm or 16 ohm dual 4 ether 8 or 2 ohm dual 2 ether 1 or 4 ohm its just simple add or subtract kinda
@antonio64284 go buy a multimeter for 20$'s before you blow ur shit up lmao ! dont even turn it on till u got it tested. if u wired it like i think u did ur @ 1ohm. do u have a local installer? just go ask the guy if he could do u a favor and double check what u have done to make sure it is rite. where are u from !? id check it out for u and make sure it was rite , but i probably live 2000miles away or some shit lol !
@antonio64284 you cant sadly . you can either wire them 4 or 1 ohm only. id say wire them each series , so they are @ 8 ohm each , cuz they either go 2 or 8 , and then wire the subs to the amp to make it a 4 ohm load. u can test this before u install them with a common 20$ multimeter
@dreamz20091 well most bridgeable amps are only 4 ohm stable when bridged , stereo they are 2 ohm most of the time , not sure what fish i had back when i made this video lmao ! could of been piranhas, or Oscars
hmm sounds safe n badass ...i wish i had something like that....i might do something like that soon......yeah i only have a german shepard and my neighbor has one too that barks at anyone ....so i know when to peak out the window if he barks....my brother has guns but i dont cus im 18 tho i have been shopping for a shotgun i really want a 12 gauge ,,,thanks for the info
@jason1160 hell ya ! us kids got guns when we were old nuff to hunt lol , one shot in the air and mofos be running for the hills lol ! bolt the hell out of everything on ur system ! no crooks wanna spend alot of time stealing lol they wanna be in and out fast . if ur worried bout them stealing the whole car have a hidden ign. cut off switch lol ..
@mazda2284 i done dat to my truck before i put my speakers in i installed da box first and screwed da box to da floor the installed da subs then iscrewed da hell outa my amp to da floor also lol datz because idnt have an alarm either haha
ok man guess i gotta go shopping for one of those ....yeah they took my amp,mtx subs, capacitor, epicenter and broke my window sucks but all i did was install an alarm ....
@jason1160 ouch.. i dont have an alarm but my system would take hours to steel ! i have everything screwed down and like my box...lol they cant take unless they are going to cut my car in 1/2 lmao ! they could unscrew the subs but that would take a long time lol. my head unit has a feature were if u disconnect the pos. without turning off the security , u have to enter a code to get the unit to work again. the code is in my owners manual lmao. i have great home security .. we have dogs and guns
i bought a kenwood amp and it says bass boost controller but i dont have it ..and it doesnt bumb my subs it barely moves them ....if i find this controller thingy will it bump or should i just buy a new amp
@jason1160 it might need the controller ...im not sure some amps are like that some aren't. id get the controller if it dont cost much, if u can get u money back do that n buy something better. kenwoods run very very hot/ from the tons of em ive had or worked with lol.
@mazda2284 yeah thanx i should go buy the controller sometime this week.....some guy at work sold it to me and he told me this amp was made for bass i told him i thought the mono amps were but he said no this one will bump any sub.....yeah i know im a knoob for car audio....
@mazda2284 all it says is "KENWOOD KAC-8402 bass boost control system 4/3/2 channel power amplifier ser no.# 60700532 12v dc" its black and aluminum silver kinda looks old maybe a couple years back, on the back it has an outlet that says "speaker level input" which i think is for the bass controller idk ....i can give you a pic if you need one....thanks
@jason1160 o boy.. id see if the guy would take it back or find someone else to pawn that off on... if i was u id get a mono block. that amp is gonna give you nothing but problems... they have terrible reviews online ..quote "" "I would not recommend it if u like running your system LOUD!! It has horrible thermal protection and within 10 minutes of running it at over 70% power, it will automatically cut the volume and go into thermal protection mode
@mazda2284 he doesnt want to refund me (sucks i know)......ill have to buy something else i heard the crunch amps are good but im going to go for a good mono amp any suggestions for a cheap one ??......yeah this amp was messing with my alternator it wouldnt start the car sometimes ...i use to run an red sony xplod with no problems but someone stole it from my car (vandilism)
@jason1160 ya crunch amps are good for the price ..powerbass ASA amps are good the asa2000 had issues but otherwise the others are great. hi fonics and mb quart are both better than crunch and are made by the same place ...they also make autotek as well so u can look into those. suck when people break into ur shit... my friends have had stuff stolen in the past... even if they catch who did it they might not give u your subs n crap back !!! they keep em as evidence nowdays...
is better regular or dual. i have 2 an mtx 5500 series10s 300 watt peak power 4 ohm. and i just bought 2 powerbass 10s 275 rms 550 watt peak power with dual 4 ohms.can somone tell me wat u think cuz the power bass hits TWICE as hard.I used to be an mtx fan but now....its over.
them powerbass are better subs than mtx 5500's for starters , and if ur dvc subs are running in parallel they are making the amp put out more power. id get powerbass before id buy anything mtx again.
Hey umm you don't have to add another wire to bridge the dual speaker?? because i only see one wire connected to the speaker doesn't it make it half the Power it can push or does that make it louder and low??
im not sure what ur saying but if u use only one voice coil on a dual v.c. sub u will blow it for sure 100% . if u talking about the different ways to wire it,, there is either series wiring or parallel , series make it higher ohm and that mean less power but way cleaner sound , parallel is lower ohm and more power but make sure ur amp can run ur sub that low of ohm. everyone should just buy a multimeter would save me tons of typing lol .
ok i know what amp u have and the subs model # u gave seems to be wrong cuz kenwood said they dont make a kfc-12, it would be a longer # , im guessing they are single voice coil subs, 4 ohm each , just hook 1 to each channel normally and they will sound fine.
i got a xxx 1000 watt amp an a Cerwin Vega V-Max124 12" 1000w dual 4-ohm an my amp is 2 channel an i dont no how to bridge that it dont say any thing about bridgeing on the amp so would i just do it the same way u did it in ur video
hmm well if u can send it back and buy something a little more suited for 1 sub lol. and buy a mono block hifonics or boss amp.. even the new pyle amp are pretty good for the price. they all make mono amps too. ur sub can either be 2 or 8 ohm. only way u can run it on ur amp is bridged 8 ohm , or 2 ohm only using 1 chan., only using 1 ch makes the amps life shorter. 8 ohm bridged ur only looking at putting like 125-150 rms to it.... and about the same using 1 ch. thats kinda small for that sub.
if the amp only lasted a week then im 90% sure they wired it wrong lol. plye amps when wired properly will last ages . if it was wired at .5 ohm ya id say that thing was bangin for a week. lol probably rated 700rms at 2 ohm not .5 lol , .5 would make it higher power but also make it blow very very fast.
did u change boxs, or any other parts? really them pyle amps ....sad to say but i think they are better than sony. my buddy has a 3000 watt pyle amp and it throws down some good power. what ohm were u running the plye amp at? if u were making that thing run .5 ohm it would of been loud but ultra hard on ur amp.
double check ur wiring. make sure u are reading 2 ohm on the multimeter, u can buy a mutlimeter from walmart for 20$ , and then u can check anytime what ohm ur subs is.
follow what i did , ur amp is a mono block 1 ch amp. , wire your subs to a 2 ohm load , just how the subs is wired in the video and wire it to the amp normal , dont bridge ur amp or anything,
ok so ur sub is dvc 4 ohm ? well 4 can be wired either 2 ohm parallel or 8 ohm series , and ur amp is a 2 ch 1000 watt, so it can be run 4 ohm MIN bridged or 2 Ohm MIN 2 ch. i would wire the sub to a 8 ohm load and run the amp bridged.
it means it is runing continous power. it means it can run 460 watts of continous power at a 4ohm load at all times as my amp is 1000 peak at any givin time the song gos thump harder for that second or 2 the amp will push 1000 watts of power or peak for that 2 second deal. all amps run peak or continous/ rms power. i guess i asked the wrong person.
kaz 729s i had one to lol damn things get hotter than hell. if you push it right mine was 2 ohm stable bridged for 300 rms watts. couldnt stay cool for nothin lol. but now i got the bigger kac 7202 460 rms watts by one at 4 ohms thumps pretty hard man. there bigger newer ones rae pretty decent just dont get them small 600 watters lol.
i know lol but what i need to figure out is how to set my amp to run rms and not over driven my amp is actualy turned all the way down but i keep blowin subs left and right. my polk momo is fryin now i can smell it but i dont get why nothing was wrong with it. my amp is 460 rms watts the sub is 400 rms watts i cant be overpowering it that much with it turned all the way down you know. maybe its the amp im thinking but i do not know how to test that theory.
ok ok i take that back i read that one wrong i know what your saying now man. your right it dosnt drive at rms power lol. what do you mean by dc rail voltage though??
oh lol the sub is already cooked lol its getting expensive to keep buying this shit lol. i have another amp its an eclipse im gonna try that this summer when i get some money saved up for the sub i want another 15". i have the box fits perfect into my trunk lol. im gonna bolt it in though.
also it wasnt my amp my amp is fine it still works it is again as i had stated burning voice coils on the subs i am using. i should be able to since the subs i have used are rated for much more power than what my amp has. like my quantum audio 15 2000 watts peak or 1000 rms watts. should not have blown should have taken all of it and then some. my super pro 15 800 rms watts.
yep. the guy i made this vid for has a 600 watt kenwood 2 ch. ive owned 5 of those lol. and they get very hot very fast. the RE ohm will probley be like 7.2 ohm or something like that. not quiet 8 ohm. might even be lower. if it hits hard nuff wired 8 ohm id do that.
lol, i wish they still made more good single v.c. subs ! last good s.v.c sub i had was a performance teknique icbm sub , 12'' 2000 watts peak, not sure what the rms was rated but it could handle 1000 rms im sure. they were built like a brick shit house.
hahha damn yeaa ill take a vid of the PD131's to show u. i like single voice coil...one wiring option. no crossing nothing jus hook and play no worries tryn to wire it down

the way you wired up that sub, it wont be at its peak performance and if you only have one side of the sub hooked up, the sub will blow easily.

@antonio64284 go buy a multimeter for 20$'s before you blow ur shit up lmao ! dont even turn it on till u got it tested. if u wired it like i think u did ur @ 1ohm. do u have a local installer? just go ask the guy if he could do u a favor and double check what u have done to make sure it is rite. where are u from !? id check it out for u and make sure it was rite , but i probably live 2000miles away or some shit lol !
mazda2284 1 year ago
@antonio64284 you cant sadly . you can either wire them 4 or 1 ohm only. id say wire them each series , so they are @ 8 ohm each , cuz they either go 2 or 8 , and then wire the subs to the amp to make it a 4 ohm load. u can test this before u install them with a common 20$ multimeter
mazda2284 1 year ago
what kind of wire is that blue wire runnin from the positive to the negative side of the sub
masoncasey14 1 year ago
@masoncasey14 was either 10 or 8 ga.

ihave da same set up in my truck but ur sayin an u connected da sub into 2ohms?
kus datz wat im tryin to get mine at and its already bridged to my amp..
umm are those pirahnas in dat fish tank?
dreamz20091 1 year ago
@dreamz20091 well most bridgeable amps are only 4 ohm stable when bridged , stereo they are 2 ohm most of the time , not sure what fish i had back when i made this video lmao ! could of been piranhas, or Oscars
mazda2284 1 year ago
@mazda2284 haha igt man but if they were let me knw were i could get some piranhas(:
dreamz20091 1 year ago
sorry what does bridged mean?

@M40kc bridged makes your speakers bump harder

hmm sounds safe n badass ...i wish i had something like that....i might do something like that soon......yeah i only have a german shepard and my neighbor has one too that barks at anyone ....so i know when to peak out the window if he barks....my brother has guns but i dont cus im 18 tho i have been shopping for a shotgun i really want a 12 gauge ,,,thanks for the info
jason1160 1 year ago
@jason1160 hell ya ! us kids got guns when we were old nuff to hunt lol , one shot in the air and mofos be running for the hills lol ! bolt the hell out of everything on ur system ! no crooks wanna spend alot of time stealing lol they wanna be in and out fast . if ur worried bout them stealing the whole car have a hidden ign. cut off switch lol ..
mazda2284 1 year ago
@mazda2284 i done dat to my truck before i put my speakers in i installed da box first and screwed da box to da floor the installed da subs then iscrewed da hell outa my amp to da floor also lol datz because idnt have an alarm either haha
dreamz20091 1 year ago
ok man guess i gotta go shopping for one of those ....yeah they took my amp,mtx subs, capacitor, epicenter and broke my window sucks but all i did was install an alarm ....
jason1160 1 year ago
@jason1160 ouch.. i dont have an alarm but my system would take hours to steel ! i have everything screwed down and like my box...lol they cant take unless they are going to cut my car in 1/2 lmao ! they could unscrew the subs but that would take a long time lol. my head unit has a feature were if u disconnect the pos. without turning off the security , u have to enter a code to get the unit to work again. the code is in my owners manual lmao. i have great home security .. we have dogs and guns

i bought a kenwood amp and it says bass boost controller but i dont have it ..and it doesnt bumb my subs it barely moves them ....if i find this controller thingy will it bump or should i just buy a new amp
jason1160 1 year ago
@jason1160 it might need the controller ...im not sure some amps are like that some aren't. id get the controller if it dont cost much, if u can get u money back do that n buy something better. kenwoods run very very hot/ from the tons of em ive had or worked with lol.
mazda2284 1 year ago
@mazda2284 yeah thanx i should go buy the controller sometime this week.....some guy at work sold it to me and he told me this amp was made for bass i told him i thought the mono amps were but he said no this one will bump any sub.....yeah i know im a knoob for car audio....
jason1160 1 year ago
@jason1160 what model amp is it exactly ? that would help me tell ya if the amp is shot or not
mazda2284 1 year ago
@mazda2284 all it says is "KENWOOD KAC-8402 bass boost control system 4/3/2 channel power amplifier ser no.# 60700532 12v dc" its black and aluminum silver kinda looks old maybe a couple years back, on the back it has an outlet that says "speaker level input" which i think is for the bass controller idk ....i can give you a pic if you need one....thanks
jason1160 1 year ago
@jason1160 o boy.. id see if the guy would take it back or find someone else to pawn that off on... if i was u id get a mono block. that amp is gonna give you nothing but problems... they have terrible reviews online ..quote "" "I would not recommend it if u like running your system LOUD!! It has horrible thermal protection and within 10 minutes of running it at over 70% power, it will automatically cut the volume and go into thermal protection mode
"I would not recommend this amp to anyone."
mazda2284 1 year ago
@mazda2284 he doesnt want to refund me (sucks i know)......ill have to buy something else i heard the crunch amps are good but im going to go for a good mono amp any suggestions for a cheap one ??......yeah this amp was messing with my alternator it wouldnt start the car sometimes ...i use to run an red sony xplod with no problems but someone stole it from my car (vandilism)
jason1160 1 year ago
@jason1160 ya crunch amps are good for the price ..powerbass ASA amps are good the asa2000 had issues but otherwise the others are great. hi fonics and mb quart are both better than crunch and are made by the same place ...they also make autotek as well so u can look into those. suck when people break into ur shit... my friends have had stuff stolen in the past... even if they catch who did it they might not give u your subs n crap back !!! they keep em as evidence nowdays...
mazda2284 1 year ago
is better regular or dual. i have 2 an mtx 5500 series10s 300 watt peak power 4 ohm. and i just bought 2 powerbass 10s 275 rms 550 watt peak power with dual 4 ohms.can somone tell me wat u think cuz the power bass hits TWICE as hard.I used to be an mtx fan but now....its over.
SanchoCali 1 year ago
them powerbass are better subs than mtx 5500's for starters , and if ur dvc subs are running in parallel they are making the amp put out more power. id get powerbass before id buy anything mtx again.
mazda2284 1 year ago
Hey umm you don't have to add another wire to bridge the dual speaker?? because i only see one wire connected to the speaker doesn't it make it half the Power it can push or does that make it louder and low??
TWIZTEDDADDY 2 years ago
im not sure what ur saying but if u use only one voice coil on a dual v.c. sub u will blow it for sure 100% . if u talking about the different ways to wire it,, there is either series wiring or parallel , series make it higher ohm and that mean less power but way cleaner sound , parallel is lower ohm and more power but make sure ur amp can run ur sub that low of ohm. everyone should just buy a multimeter would save me tons of typing lol .
mazda2284 2 years ago
hi does it matter wat inputs u put the sub
on the amp.
thanks

mazda2284 2 years ago
profile California 1200 watt amp 2 12 kfc-12 with an optimus crossover
bigboytom09 2 years ago
ok i know what amp u have and the subs model # u gave seems to be wrong cuz kenwood said they dont make a kfc-12, it would be a longer # , im guessing they are single voice coil subs, 4 ohm each , just hook 1 to each channel normally and they will sound fine.
mazda2284 2 years ago
ok thanksman
bigboytom09 2 years ago
i got a xxx 1000 watt amp an a Cerwin Vega V-Max124 12" 1000w dual 4-ohm an my amp is 2 channel an i dont no how to bridge that it dont say any thing about bridgeing on the amp so would i just do it the same way u did it in ur video
FARLEY717 2 years ago
are u sure its not a mono block? im not sure which xxx amp ur talking about... theres a few different ones out there lol
mazda2284 2 years ago
@mazda2284 its a xxx gxf-1000 yeah i still got the box and it's deff a two channel
FARLEY717 2 years ago
hmm well if u can send it back and buy something a little more suited for 1 sub lol. and buy a mono block hifonics or boss amp.. even the new pyle amp are pretty good for the price. they all make mono amps too. ur sub can either be 2 or 8 ohm. only way u can run it on ur amp is bridged 8 ohm , or 2 ohm only using 1 chan., only using 1 ch makes the amps life shorter. 8 ohm bridged ur only looking at putting like 125-150 rms to it.... and about the same using 1 ch. thats kinda small for that sub.
mazda2284 2 years ago
im gonna get a new amp an i dont know what kind i should get i want a nice sounding amp butt not pay a shit load. what would go best with my sub?
FARLEY717 2 years ago
if the amp only lasted a week then im 90% sure they wired it wrong lol. plye amps when wired properly will last ages . if it was wired at .5 ohm ya id say that thing was bangin for a week. lol probably rated 700rms at 2 ohm not .5 lol , .5 would make it higher power but also make it blow very very fast.
mazda2284 2 years ago
did u change boxs, or any other parts? really them pyle amps ....sad to say but i think they are better than sony. my buddy has a 3000 watt pyle amp and it throws down some good power. what ohm were u running the plye amp at? if u were making that thing run .5 ohm it would of been loud but ultra hard on ur amp.
mazda2284 2 years ago
double check ur wiring. make sure u are reading 2 ohm on the multimeter, u can buy a mutlimeter from walmart for 20$ , and then u can check anytime what ohm ur subs is.
mazda2284 2 years ago
lol everyone is getting confused ! trying to help 2 people at once here lol ~!
mazda2284 2 years ago
follow what i did , ur amp is a mono block 1 ch amp. , wire your subs to a 2 ohm load , just how the subs is wired in the video and wire it to the amp normal , dont bridge ur amp or anything,
mazda2284 2 years ago
mono are not bridgeable
mazda2284 2 years ago
no no , ur amp is a mono block rite ? so it can handle 2-8 ohm on it
mazda2284 2 years ago
yep
mazda2284 2 years ago
yep series ! thats how i wire the sub in the video
mazda2284 2 years ago
that or go google dvc wiring , and look for the12volt 'dot' com and they have simple diagrams
mazda2284 2 years ago
my video should show u how ! lol the 1 ur posting on
mazda2284 2 years ago
u sub can either be 2 or .5 ohm, wire it in series to make a 2 ohm load !
mazda2284 2 years ago
ok so ur sub is dvc 4 ohm ? well 4 can be wired either 2 ohm parallel or 8 ohm series , and ur amp is a 2 ch 1000 watt, so it can be run 4 ohm MIN bridged or 2 Ohm MIN 2 ch. i would wire the sub to a 8 ohm load and run the amp bridged.
mazda2284 2 years ago
it means it is runing continous power. it means it can run 460 watts of continous power at a 4ohm load at all times as my amp is 1000 peak at any givin time the song gos thump harder for that second or 2 the amp will push 1000 watts of power or peak for that 2 second deal. all amps run peak or continous/ rms power. i guess i asked the wrong person.

lovemy89240 2 years ago
do you want a 2ohm load to that amp? if so, wire the voice coils in parallel.
out2kill3652b 2 years ago
Can you do one on single voice coil. on a 2 channel amp

sure lol thats an ez 1 !

i know lol but what i need to figure out is how to set my amp to run rms and not over driven my amp is actualy turned all the way down but i keep blowin subs left and right. my polk momo is fryin now i can smell it but i dont get why nothing was wrong with it. my amp is 460 rms watts the sub is 400 rms watts i cant be overpowering it that much with it turned all the way down you know. maybe its the amp im thinking but i do not know how to test that theory.

also it wasnt my amp my amp is fine it still works it is again as i had stated burning voice coils on the subs i am using. i should be able to since the subs i have used are rated for much more power than what my amp has. like my quantum audio 15 2000 watts peak or 1000 rms watts. should not have blown should have taken all of it and then some. my super pro 15 800 rms watts.

yep. the guy i made this vid for has a 600 watt kenwood 2 ch. ive owned 5 of those lol. and they get very hot very fast. the RE ohm will probley be like 7.2 ohm or something like that. not quiet 8 ohm. might even be lower. if it hits hard nuff wired 8 ohm id do that.
mazda2284 2 years ago
yea i get u i get u. the PD's a single voicecoil :D ha
boboridesbmx 2 years ago
lol, i wish they still made more good single v.c. subs ! last good s.v.c sub i had was a performance teknique icbm sub , 12'' 2000 watts peak, not sure what the rms was rated but it could handle 1000 rms im sure. they were built like a brick shit house.
