@xxxxshuga6kissesxxxx Yes, he does have an official Facebook page, but You Tube does not allow us to post a URL in the comment. You can find him under Snowball the Dancing Cockatoo...he actually has two pages.
Snowball should start teaching dance classes; you'd make a fortune - LOL. So funny and cute. And God bless you for loving him and your other birds. I wish only blessed things for you and your much-needed organization.l
Bravo to you Irene! I am a bird, and all animal lover. I loathe abusers and ones that neglect these helpless birds and animals, especially the ones caged and have no way out. I am a member of the ASPCA and I will do whatever I can to help you. Please don't hesitate to call me to do whatever you need help with. I am retired so I have time to help. I am here. Lets incarcerate all the idiots of the world that mistreat these poor animals for the allmighty dollar! I'd like to do to them what they do.
I do agree like Dr.Ani said that medium sized parrots can dance. However some
small parakeets (like budgies) can not dance. So far I have never seen that, but there might be some talented budgies out there. Sea lions can't dance either,I thought they could now I know they can't t they just can mimick movements from
humans. I was unsure if dolphins could dance, now I am sure they can thanks to
the statements of Dr.Ani. I always noticed they could follow a beat and rhythm to
Hate to disappoint anyone, but ALL COCKATOOS dance to music of any kind and very accurately to the beat and rhythm. Some scientists needs to get out more...they needed to slow down the video to see what he was doing? Both of my cockatoos always jammed like Snowball. I can't believe these idots. Helping to redefine avian intelligence? How about improving some human intelligence and putting some science dollars to some valueable wor?
@LovelyLenore No one taught him to dance. He just began dancing one day and has evolved into an incredible dancer. I'm glad so many enjoy watching him.
I saw a documentary on Animal Planet where a beefy Pit bull was wearing sunglasses and he was surrounded by birds, and some were even perched on his back. Later, there were more birds, and also hens -- They were surrounding him like they were his fans. And he did nothing but smile!
I love Snowball and all birds in general. They are the only other animal that walks on two legs like us, and also they're the only ones who have an affinity for music like us. Whales and dolphins also but not so similar to us as bird song and dance. What Snowball has that I've never seen before is that way of lifting his legs in sync. and not just rocking and head bobbing. GO SNOWBALL!!!!
Snowball is so famous now :) My sun conure can dance... Just not to the beat, he dances to the same beat even if the beat of the song & his dancing doesn't match xD
it pisses me off that scientist and other people think Snowball is the only parrot that can dance and such. i've seen others here on youtube and one that literally sings. better than his human can.
it's called 'singing Paco' and he's.. i dunno, a green parrot.
I realize the odds are low of them getting along together, but I still hope for the day when there is a Frosty-Snowball meeting. That will be awesome beyond words.
@cainster Snowball and a female moluccan cockatoo here sometimes have dance competitions although I've been unsuccessful at capturing this on video because the moluccan always freezes up whenever I try to film her. But as animated as Angel, the moluccan, is at dancing, Snowball has impeccable rhythm and definitely has more dance moves. He recently created one or two new ones.
Thanks for posting this on YouTube. I have so much difficulty convincing my friends, none of whom have parrots, about how intelligent my little Dolly is and how amazing all parrots are. This is a fantastic video to share with them to enlighten them! Maybe they'll stop thinking I am crazy because I love birds so much.

We have 4 cockatoos and 3 of them dance to music and it is common. I have even seen wild one doing it.
With the amout of cockatoos in Australia its funny what gets missed at times

We are so glad that the 'news' is getting out on the abilities that our beaky friends possess.
Keep up the good work, both in Snowball's life, and in the rescue work of those birds that need the help to find new forever homes!
