Really nice animations...But I think Black Serena in W is just too awesome, I mean, MAN, I finished the last stage with it alone with all the upgrades just because it's awesome, It was really well done.

Btw... The final punch got to be the most badass strike in the enemy pilot ever.

Nah, Prince of Darkness version of Gekigan Flare is only in W.

MX follows the original Nadesico faithfully, in that Gai is dead and the rest of the series characters never met Akito.

On the other hand after Ayato ascends he re-tunes Prince of Darkness out of the storyline so Akito and Yurika get a happy ending.

You're kidding me, right? That was a shit ending to a shit movie and they put no effort into the attacks at all. The entire video is shamefully boring and just goes to show that the developers didn't care nearly as much about the series as we did. At least they did it some justice in W and J, but you can't say any of this was cool. Not by a longshot.

Just the Black Selena, really. The four Aestevalis units that you get are grunts at best and the Nadesico C is decent, for a battleship and it's better than the Neo Argama, but you can't really use it in a serious battle.

Yes I do play, but some comments of SRW MX is that "it's the easiest SRW to date". Even alpha 3's grunts' hp dont exceed 11k.

Your units get strong pretty quickly. Just don't expect much from your Nadesico units, though, except for the Black Selena, of course.

Try SRW MX Portable, where they have increased enemy HP, which can be really tedious. In MX Portable you can't OHKO things anymore without upgrades. Also, you can no longer "go into the battle unprepared and kill a running boss with ease". While it is still easy, that HP increase added to the difficulty, and can even elongate the battle more than you think it can. The increase is pretty huge, BTW. It's 50% HP increase.

Have you even played ANY of these SRT games? If you did, you'd know that Banpresto's too lazy to code an advanced AI, and makes the game more difficult by making the enemies stronger.

I dunno, I still say the mess that was The Prince of Darkness was worth it just to see that under that sleek, menacing armor, he was still piloting that little pink robot. Even if it too had become emo.

And yeah, Nadesico units almost universally suck in W. Serena's alright if you remember to upgrade it and Akito, at least.

The irony behind them putting all of that effort into overpowering them and Seed in J only to make them take a back seat to almost everyone in W just baffles me.

The main problem is spacing... since you don't get alot of time to use the full crew in both parts... perhaps making up for the fact they join very quickly in J.

No, they're just plain weak... Plus, they don't last that long when they're away from the Nadesico. I liked using them in SRTMX because they don't need over 9000 morale to use their strongest attacks; but in SRTW, they just plain sucked.

After playing the game, the Prince of Darkness units strike me as really useless in W (I hear the Alstromelia is actually useful, but it only having one attack kind of turned me off to the thing...), honestly. I liked them much more before the time skip (But then, they were much less useful there than they were in J).

Well, PoD failed in W for several reasons.

The distinct lack of the Immediate Knife murders you before you Double Ace/Get 110 Will for Distortion Field Attack/Gekigan Flare, for one thing. Akatsuki doesn't even HAVE the Distortion Field Attack, but nobody would use him anyway.

They had a lot to live up to, though, Nadesico was just plain awesome in J. I love how they counted Megumi, Jun, and Minato as sub-pilots as an excuse to have 5 sets of spirit lists.

The Aestivales themselves were awesome for their combination attacks, unlimited energy, and abusable affinities. Hell, I'd use them even if they sucked because they're from FUCKING NADESICO (great anime series, loved it).

Well, Nadesico C is better than Nadesico Y in close range combat.

Yes, but Phase Transition Cannon is far stronger than any Gravity Blast Cannon. It's pretty obvious.

The PT Cannon took out a whole Distortion Field armed fleet with one shot, where the Gravity Blast Cannon just had the attack bounced off.

Are you talking about the PT Cannon in game or anime, the PT cannon can't take out a fleet in game with a single shot, and you also need to increase your spirit to use it. The Gravity Blast cannon doesn't requires all this things and it have no close range limit like PT cannon.

What I know is that A) in the GBA srws that have the normal series, Gai surviving is a secret. As far as other games with the PoD scenario, only R has that (at the start)

Actually, the ending movie scene was, in fact, subbed in Chinese in this video, not to mention that the Japanese language generally uses many Chinese characters (Kanji) in their writing. So there is validity to his claim.

I didn't like Prince of Darkness as much as I wanted to, but when it turned out that Akito's Black Selena still had that pink Aestivalis underneath, it cracked me up. :-P
