@bookac Thanks! I used Blender for just about everything. The shadows aren't great, but they would've shot up the render times otherwise

@Blackday2010 Yeah, it was in the suzanne festival, you just send it to them in advance and the previous year's winners make a shortlist of five in each category, then everyone votes on the saturday. No free ticket, but I did get a training DVD out of it :)

One of the best Blender short films yet. The few I've seen lately are so... "artistic" that they are an absolute bore to watch. Everything was great, except I noticed that the shadows are a little jagged. Other than that, everything was absolutely smooth. Nice style btw.

I found the visual glitches with the shadows and that weird aliasing on their clothes a tad distracting. Aside from that, however, I say good job to all involved. The animation of the little girl running to the bathroom was spot on and facial expressions were pretty effective overall.

Great animation! Better than I could ever do! The SSS seems a little off though. The skin looks somewhat waxy and the teeth are a little too white. Other than that, it was awesome!

This is superb! I regard this as the best blender film I've EVER seen.

But you MUST lose the horrible music. I know that's harsh, but these perfect visuals demand a better soundtrack. I cannot stress how bad the music is ruining this.

@ChrisIceBox Just to add another voice - I agree, the music creates a good mood for the short. It's not a generic orchestral film score - it's unique and has its own feel. It also fits the timing of the short well.

I somewhat disagree. The music wasn't perfect, for sure, but it fit the feeling of the film and didn't really "get in the way," so to speak. It had a "Spy vs Spy" feeling to it, and it fit the bill quite nicely in my opinion.
