Smart Tax Alliance: Small Business and the HST in BC

So is anyone explain how exactly this works? I personally know several small business owners, all of whom are suffering for reasons related to the HST. From the unexpected hike in the cost of their services to clients outside of the province to grocers having to pay out HST only to have it reimbursed months later. None of this is conducive to job creation, and if anything has only resulted in an overall decrease in net profits, the loss of employee hours, and inability to hire additional staff
