Where can i buy a water pik can someone please help me , i have like 10 cavitys and i am so scared of the dentist and i dont wanna have my parents yell at me for eating to muh candy
@EpicFailureee Some people have sensitive gums. But if you floss regular then this will stop them bleeding. Most bleeding is caused by bacteria, so you're either not flossing brushing correctly or your going too hard with the floss. Or you have the start of gum disease. Either way its not the floss.
This does not remove plaque (the stuff that causes decay) effectively and is in no way a replacement for toothbrushing and interdental cleaning. It's useful for removing bits of loose debris.
I had tight teeth too but then I had5 teeth pulled *4 wisdom, 1 hidden secret tooth* and now my teeth are good, now I just gotta floss with floss or waterpik not water flosserer and clean my toungue use mouth wash 2 times a day! Canadians!
@coo446 You should start with the lowest setting possible. Try 1 or 2 and then when you feel comfortable in a week or two, increase it by +1, until you get to about 7-8 speed or wherever you feel comfortable. Gums will start getting stronger and the bleeding will cease. Good luck.
It's a great product. I have type 1 diabetes and this is a life saver. At first I had bleeding gums, but after using it for a few weeks at 1-2 setting, the bleeding stopped and now my teeth and gums feel great.
If you gums bleed it is because there is bacteria present beneath the gumline and that bacteria causes inflammation Inflammtion of the gums is known as gingivitis The only way to get rid of this is by properly flossing everyday and seein your dentist twice a year if you havent flossed in a long time and you all of sudden you incoperate flossin daily your gums will bleed for the first couple of days and it will soon go away
Thanks, tiger. The waterpik is working pretty well, though. After all my issues with floss, I'm done with it. My dentist was shocked that, for the first time, in years, he didn't see my gums full of gunk.
bad advice on the wizdom teeth do not do this until they have been out at least 2 weeks. You will remove the blood clot by messing with it and cause what is called dry socket . Dry socket is extremely painful, requires visits to the dentist every 2-3 days and can last months
I've been flossing, using an Oral-B electric toothbrush, and a Oral-B flouride mouthwash that my dentist recommend. So far I haven't had any problems with this combination. Is it still worth getting a Waterpik or is this really something that's for people who just don't floss?
waterpik does something that the other items you mentioned here cannot (atleast no that well). waterpik is actually supposed to remove particles or even prevent a build up of a film of germs that is not possible to remove without dental instruments. It can prevent gum bleeding, boneloss and your teeth from falling off!
waterpiks are good but can seriously mess ur teeth up dont use it daily like people say or u'll have worn down nubs for teeth either use it monthly or dont buy on and let ur dentist clean ur teeth with her equipment i have braces and the bottom teeth are smaller and it pisses me off so much that my teeth and yellish after the 5 day of getting them pro cleaned T.T i suggest listerein prebrush vibrant its soo awesome and works noticably, well at least for it
lol, not really sure what you are talking about but I assure you that if properly used (low setting) a waterpik can not only improve the health of your teeth but also your gums.. Take it from a guy who has never had a single cavity in his entire life..
I have really, really tight teeth, and floss is really uncomfortable for me. Because of that, I have packages of floss that have gone unused, and I'm concerned that I'm not taking the best care of my teeth. As someone who uses this technique, which I've just learned about, do you recommend I get a professional cleaning, before starting with this? Also, is it at all painful? Thanks a lot.
I also have very tight teeth and I have to fight every tooth to get the floss in, and some teeth I can't use the up and down technique so I use the saw technique. Also make sure you use the right floss for tight teeth, I use "Crest, Glide" it works great!.. As long as you use the waterpik on a low setting at first, you will be fine, after your gums get stronger you can begin to increase the pressure, and yes I would recommend getting your teeth cleaned if you haven't in the last 12 months.
@CharmingMan27 Oh, man! Me too! It's terrible. Not every tooth but particularly in the back on the bottom, the dental floss literally gets stuck and it shreds trying to pull it out for me (the floss, I mean). Painful!
@MediocreNews Usually the reason this happens is a build up of plaque. The plaque may chip leaving a sharp egde catching the floss. I recommened seeing a dentist for a clean and tell him whats happening. It may be something worse like a split in your tooth.
About the wisdom teeth part, make sure you do not knock out the blood clot that is needed to form after surgery or you will end up with a dry socket. Oral surgeons usually recommend you don't spit or swish anything around your mouth for 2-3 days after getting extractions to prevent this.
natural cure for cavities: eat a raw-egg fruit smoothie every day. my recipe is 1 orange, 1 raw egg, 1 packet of stevia to sweeten it. sometimes i add plain yogurt. try 1 or 2 of these a day for a month and your tooth pain will be gone, and your cavities will eventually heal up for good. you'll also want to avoid flouride altogether, I use plain baking soda instead of toothpaste, it works better and doesn't screw up your teeth like flouride.
do you ever question these things you believe or just assume them to be true because that's what the so-called experts told you?
1. salmonella already exists in your digestive tract, as does e-coli, a healthy body nourished by healthy raw food does not get sick from ingesting bacteria. how else could the human race have survived the thousands of years before antibiotics?
2. teeth do heal, it's called remineralization and it's proven. your bones heal when you break them, it's the same concept.
The best way took after your teeth is brush and yse mouth wash straight after you have a meal, try reduce fizzy sugary drinks and sweets ( candy)

Is it better to brush first and then use the water flosser or the other way around?
asrajan55 5 months ago
Been using this for 4 days now, lets just say, i floss twice a day now, vs doing it once a month the old fashioned way lol.
This is a life saver and you actually will enjoy it.
BTW, took me two days to not wet my shirt and bathroom up haha

There is no way this is as effective a flossing. And your gums bleed due to bacteria, from irregular flossing.
yippe 10 months ago
@yippe not really, because whenever I floss my gums bleed because my teeth hurts after I floss, but I floss everyday.

It seems like a great product. I like what she says at 1:10 "And, you'll see bits of bacteria" Does that mean you also require a microscope? lol

My teeth are so tight that I can't use floss without my gums bleeding excessively. Using a waterpik definetly has saved me from toothloss.

1. It's risky to eat raw eggs - salmanella.
2. Once the tooth has a cavity/hole, how do you suppose it's goint to "heal up"? It doesn't regenerate like skin.
