my boyfriend is a marine and he just got done with his schooling and is home for 14 days and then has to go across seas for 2 years. this song i listen to every night and think of him and will while he is gone to. during that 2 years i will be going to college once i graduate in may and then i graduate from college right around when he gets to come back home so we will be able to start life without worries of my schooling...............

.... i found out he had to leave for 2 years instead of a year and a half on a bowling date and i couldnt help but go to the bathroom and cry but my best friend was there and came in and said that we can do it. our love will last anything as long as we are there for each other and support each other. My husband's getting ready for his 3rd deployment- a few days after my bro comes back from Iraq my husband will be leaving. Anymore its not if you deploy its when, you just have to hold on and be strong, knowing they will come home. We dont' say goodbye-- its either I will see you later or talk to you later. It doesnt get easier but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Would I rather have him home? Hell Yes! but I also understand why he's doing what he's doing.

@converscutie - keep your head up. my boyfriend just got out of basic training for the Army. He's a United States Infantry Soldier now at his first duty station. Afghanistan is sending home is sending home 1200 people and my boyfriend has a high possibility of having to go. It's never easy but when you fall in love with a soldier you shouldn't ever expect it to be. it's become a way of life for me. i wouldn't have it any other way. it's scary but I'm proud. you will be too.
