Sarah Palin was here, tag award. Sarah-douches are envy that even nature nearly pushed down to edge of collapse have more life-force left everywhere in cruel cruel world than Sarah-douches many men. Do you know what is wrong in your dust-collector very near of you. Doesn't seem too happy, does it get enough exercise or it is just crawling behind than last dog in movie "Wanda". Oh lol what happy memories.
Gruesome yes but cruel is a Western Euro Judeo-Christian idea. Please read about the traditions of the Lakota and their spiritual understanding of making sacrifice to maintain their people, as well their understanding of the buffalo as the foundation of the living world of the plains. Then look in your own heart for what to paint.... Dream well Val
have the baby bison float above the wolves reach. rising above. doesn't really have to be a bison either, symbolically the situation, and the baby floating above. THERE'S SO MUCH YOU CAN DO WITH THIS!
these cats i care for do similar things to the weaker blind cat that is also their sister, this one cat copernicus always tries to eat her food but i have to re locate him back to his dish. he has plenty of food but always wants to eat hers first. and she is so cool, she can hear my voice from down the street and runs towards my direction with the happiest look on her face.
I think you really should make a painting about the sad end of the baby Bison. I have a feeling that it is the reality of nature where a sacrifice could have been orchestrated by the Bison horde. I feel sorry for the little Bison. :)
It would nice to see you paint from this darker, sadder place for a change. I hate that you have to feel this way, but I want to see what comes of it.
I have serious doubts that bison have the capacity to reason. Animals in the wild act on instinct, not reason. Why do humans always try to anthropomorphize non-sentient creatures?
@not2n2u They can't be analytical or philosophical on human level but it think that it is wrong to say that animals can't reason.
You should realise the fact that even though you call it instinct it is brain activity. This animal is probably old enough to have seen and survived a wolf attack and remember the outcome: a weak or young bison falls and the wolfs are satisfied with that so the rest goes free. The idea of repeating that scenario is no more difficult than what a animal can think.
I don't think it is easy to paint the story. Maybe as parallel shadows of the "trail" behind each-other showing each part of the story. (or the heroic version)
Why the bison did that. Don't know, but it probably was a sacrifice.
It was surly on purpose. One can see it prepared the attack. It could have passed the small bison like all others did. And it was not so scared of the wolves that it was on a "blind" knocking down anything in it's path otherwise it would have kept clear of the pack.
You know what they say. If you're in the woods with a friend and a bear appears: you don't need to outrun the bear, just your friend. I think similar rules apply to bison vs wolves.
Seems kind of gross!!? but that's our world ... maybe two mouths taking bites out of each other that are connected... maybe not death doesn't really seem to be your style Val....hmm sad!
At first I felt sorry for the bison, but then I realized that bison's are delicious hamburger and wolves are awesome. And endangered. So I'm cool with it now.
That is why I love you. Your passion for life is amazing! As far as that bison painting, I would love to see that. Another painting I would love is to see your take on a superhero logo for my comic book podcast. A painting of a majestic superhero, but that really reflects the sad duality "heroes" must lead in order to protect the people they love and still do the noble and honorable thing.
I'm not sure the larger bison knocked down the smaller one on purpose, bisons don't see too well what's in front of them because of the position of their eyes. They are better at seeing what's around to both sides.
"It's gonna frick your pants off!" - Val, you're very cute when you curse in english. Do it more often! :D

It is clear you don't even know what douchebag means. Speaking of which, the term is so distasteful. Narcissist is the proper term.
