so if that guy is yelling is offensive to god we should "rip, kill, shred, & burn" him...but doesnt one of the 10 commandments say "thou shalt not kill". So o annoited voices of god what shall i do if i come upon someone that is offending god
Is this what we're teaching Christians? Even in joking (which, there is no such thing, just a lie of our enemy), that if a nonbeliever offends us, doesn't let us speak, or does any harmful thing to us, that we should have them struck on the head to knock them out?
We stand, receiving it all, holding fast to truth, proclaiming the word, standing on what Jesus told us, not what this world tells us, not what our own emotions tell us.
I don't find any humor in blaspheming the word of God. This type of humor is a way for our enemy to trick people into believing that it's okay to do or say a particular thing because it's all under the guise of "just being a joke". It's the same fool used in music, movies and stories.
1 Peter 4:11 - "Speak as one speaking the word of God"
James 1:22 - "Do not merely listen to the word, do what it says."
I find our enemy as being crafty and devious and so full of evil that so many devout believers will come to our Lord on that day and say, "Lord, Lord..." only to be turned away.
It's about teaching a generation of Christians who have no idea what it means to fear God, or to put into practice what he asks us to do through the holy scripture.
This society, this culture of America, it has so corrupted people's perceptions of morality, ethics, what it means to serve God, everything. We even believe that a little blaspheme is okay, but it is not.
People need to be taught this truth. 1 Peter 1:13-25, be holy.
We need to make every effort to see that we are not deceived. Every effort. This was a warning given to us by Jesus for a reason, and we are denying it. We are denying him. We are allowing the world to speak through us to such a degree that we can actually find humor in blaspheming the word of God, and then we have the audacity to say "It's only a joke"?
Fox you did miss the point. The point was to show that most "christians" rely on something or someone instead of seeking God & relying on Him (IOW both characters are wrong).
The real message is the second half of the vid 50 sec - end = lots of repentance, examination, dying to self, fear of the Lord, ears to hear, etc.
Steve, that blatantly obvious message that is more than half of the video really sums up the gist of what you were striving to convey very well. Take care.
total bullchit worthless

Romans 12:19.

We trust in him only. Don't we?

Fox its not blaspheming the word of God, rather its pointing out we do indeed need more "fear of the Lord", repentance, hear Him, etc.
Just as some prophets in the OT used sarcasm, this is in the same vein.

A prominent professed Christian here on YouTube has "I am a Kiss fanatic" on his channel. This is a Kiss lyric from a popular song, "God of Thunder":
"I was raised by the demons
Trained to reign as the one
God of thunder and rock and roll
The spell you're under
Will slowly rob you of your virgin soul"
I find this video in truly horrible taste. I find Christians who are not denying this world to be very dangerous.
