  • this is really shoddy reporting. you all make it sound like there was a mass collusion between GM, Enterprise, and the car dealers to deceive people and make them less safe. Most people in this country are still driving cars which were built before side-impact airbags were ever popular, and this woman is no less safe in her new car than she would be in her previous car, or in any other car she's likely driven in her life. It isn't like they're defective or something.

  • @inserto1000 and @PaladinHludwig: Actually, several of GM's most popular brands are alive and well under a new corporate structure, 61% of which is owned by the US Government. Buick, GMC, Chevrolet, and Cadillac are still operating, and hopefully will continue to do so for a long time. The "new" GM just paid back all of its government loans five years ahead of schedule, and will hopefully start buying back the shares owned by the US government over the next few years.

  • if CHEVY is going to make a shitty looking impala's .. put in the side airbags.

  • americans are such cry babies side airbags weren't even standard tell just recently..

  • where are you from?

  • we just want extra safety you dumbass

  • Does GM still make cars or just the 2009 models before they died last year? Does Obama want to use the remains of GM for any government or farm use?

  • inserto, Well GM didn't technically 'die' last year. They did fail as a company yes, and now the US government owns them. The "company" still makes some cars but they lost most brands already including their best ones, Saturn and Pontiac. The Chinese government bought their military vehicles, Hummer. But they technically are still operating as a quote-unquote car company.

  • My first guess was factory niggers well guess I was wrong
