  • A heavy rock band masquerading as glam rock. These guys were better than that whole genre imo, same as Queen were. Great stuff!

  • Born to raise hell!!!

  • One of my favorite Motley Crue songs "Kickstart My Heart" would not have existed with out this awesome song

  • don't look now, someone just kicked you in the cu.....♪

  • This live version reminds me of the show I saw in 1975, very tight band live, with one of the best drum solos to date. Wish there was live footage of that tour thru America promoting Desolation Boulevard, they spared nothing for those shows! Still have an exploding (flash) light bulb from the show, front of the stage was lined with them. After the show, a roadie asked another "can they take the bulbs". The reply was yes, their garbage now, so I grabbed one, top is burned insde from the heat.

  • I wish it was 1973 again...and I can imagine myself at this show. :) They were one of the best bands, hands down. Excellent musicians who also became great songwriters (Chinn and Chapman didn't write ALL of their singles) in their own right. I just wish they'd gotten their due.

  • @Bolinbabe

ASS are still on the road and they're great! By the way, on Suzi's Back to the Drive, Andy Scott plays guitar and wrote 3 4th of that stuff. Greetings from ol' Germany

  • So good

  • Beste Mucke!!!

  • the sweet! what can i say the best yet under rated bands of the seventies. if only the music on the radio now was as good

  • Hell Raiser was my favourite record from 1973 until 1975 when Bohemian Rhapsody was released.

  • mamma mia so good !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kickstart The Sweet!

  • soo proud to be realted :D x

  • 13 Jahre alt .!!!Das härteste was ich damals gehört habe.. und eine 16jährige geile Freundin...Verdammt waren diese Zeiten geil!!!!!

  • Yeaaaahhhh!!!! THE SWEET4Ever!!!! My favourite Glam-Rock-Group of the 70's. Never 4get the Impression, when i heard this Song in the Beginnung of my first Sweet-Live-Concert in Frankfurt/Main-Germany-Jahrhunderthalle. Hell Raiser - the stage explods by fireworks and the Drums and the Guitar Riff Starts followed from Brian's powerful Voice. It knocks me out, until today.

  • ain't it cool?

  • Simplemente F A N T A S T I C O....me encantan. Sweet por siempre

  • Yeah Baby....YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,im 45,the sweet still rocks

  • Echt genial die Jungs....

    einfach geile Mucke.....

  • How lucky were we who lived through the seventies with music like this?? Real music then, sung by real artists. Not yer X-Factor clap-trap of today. We Want Sweet!!!

  • nice to see them actually playing, not synching to it, like what bands used to have to do.

  • What a class act these boys were, best of British. I was just a kid back then, but I remember having a huge crush on Mick Tucker, what a beauty he was and of course an amazing drummer. RIP Mick and Brian

  • @dee6694 i thought they were Astralian

  • This totally rocks! I never heard this before until just a few days ago. What a tight band...what an incredible drummer!

  • @bareknuckles2u

Most of the comments I se is about the excellent drummer. So I guess he is.

  • Dang ! They r good !

  • like totaly forgot till reading h.d. book, dam good music!!;0~

  • If only 'Creme Brulee' had got a decent Recording Contract they could have been even bigger than The Sweet, but... it's a shit business!

  • Brian.Du bist ein Wahnsinn! Schade um Dich...

  • The best bit about this band is that they're Brits! There are too many great glam bands that turn out (disappointingly) to be American...

  • i aways loved brians hair beautiful

  • I forgot how awesome this song is! Thanks for posting :-)

  • Wechingen rockt!

    Classic Rock night:

    Slade, Sweet und Flash Live!

Am 16.7.2011 in Wechingen in Bayern.

  • magic

  • BRIILIANT Sweet! FANTASTIC Live too!

  • is i weird if i found this vid while on a motorhead vid?

  • How could 3 people use the dislike button?

They must be Justin Bieber fans.

  • @Thoughtland Or Lady Gaga...

  • omg....100% ass kick rock'n roll! The whole live album is alongside MC5's debut one off the greatest moments of Rock 'n Roll ever caught on tape. Too sad that the whole band totaly went Spinal Tap during the 80's till now.....

  • notice that the intro riff to kickstart my heart by crue is exactly the same as this?

  • omg! i would sell my grannies soul to go back in time and have been in the front row that night - what an epic vid!

  • And there you have it ---rock mastery at its best !! , great dynamics, great vocals and everything fits in to place, oh by the way that Mick Tucker ( RIP ) was an incredibly gifted drummer wasnt he ........... Ed

  • Sweet childhood...

  • what does the camera man have against andy?

  • How many bands sound this good live?

  • I used to dislike the Sweet ..... but now after 35 years I have just realised what a great band they were. Totally underrated at the time (most people probably dismissed them as the band that had weird make up) but they can really PLAY and are one of the best bands of that decade. Very professional off stage and on.

  • @paisleygerry So true

  • @paisleygerry Totally agree

  • @paisleygerry

Very kind of you to accept it after all those years! And Andy Scott's Sweet nowadays aren't worse at all, Greetings from ol' Germany

  • @paisleygerry Dude, the basest is wearing a cape. Awesome band.

  • @cubby3o5 steve priest

  • @paisleygerry

Theres been a few bands that Ive had a change of heart about since You Tube. Sweet wasnt one of them, always a fan. But I know what you mean, some things sound better with the passage of years.

  • I will never get their guitar tuning!??! It's not really standard E it's shifted a quarter of a note higher or deeper i think... just like the old acdc stuff, they don't play the real today known standard e...

    anybody got some ideas?

  • geile Zeit war das!!!!!

  • <<<< hellraiser & trailblazer.

  • well i'm 18 and have fallen in love with this band . When i was watching this on here the other day my mum walked past and looked at me in shock and said " my god are you watching the sweet?" I said yeah and she said with a very surprised look on her face " you actually like them?" , i love music especially glam rock and to go back in time and watch the bands who started it all gives me a sense of knowledge when it comes to music , kids just don't do that these days , its a shame.

  • @misspunkchick18

I don't think kids did that in any day.

  • @internalgears probably not no, i just love music and like to check out old bands :)

  • @bulldogzbruce I was really knocked off by that B-side as well...Burning showed that they had quality, next to chinn chappman commerciality, allthough I also appreciated that alot, in its own way. Blockbuster, etc...Best glamour band (what they represnted) with MUCH more individual qualities then Mud, Slade, Gary Glitter, etc. But I think that Glamrock victimized them from start. Hence they never became a Led Zep.

  • A proper band.

  • Danke !!!

  • 1974!!!

  • i want that cape

  • fucking great ty for posting

  • the sweet could rock

  • Power!!!

  • I had this Glam Rock collection on VHS in 1989 ... good times! I'll be forever grateful to Def Leppard & their Rocket video for helping to make that collection possible.

  • Absolutely love this song! Definitely the most underrated band of all time. They should be ranked up there with the all time greats!

  • heavy before metal the sweet

  • Great guitar tone!

  • ... внучке!

  • Seeds of the NWOBHM?????????????????

  • if you like mick`s drummin listrn to "man with the golden gun" from desolation bullivard

  • @davethetrike oops man with the golden arm

  • This looked like a really fun band with good songs and musicianship, with that unruly unpredictable edge, and bit of insanity that all good rock and roll should contain

  • Proper music!!

  • Sweet rocked the States in the 70s and enjoyed lots of F.M. radio airplay.

Fat British Guitar Tone like that will never come from a cyber amp. You gotta have tubes/valves for that kind of crunch.

  • @minegoesto11 yeah todays bands like Green day and Muse have some gay overproduced sound their guitars play by themselves

  • This has to be one of the best live versions I've ever seen!!! My favourite for sure.

  • the group wasa amazing i was lucky to meet brian when i was eleven he signed my albums and got the band to sign sweet fanny addams what a gent and a star

  • great stuff from a 70s outfit who gave slade a run for their money, very slick and tight, very rare today, they just dont make em like they used too,,

  • gawd this band was tight!!

  • the best.

  • briliant riffs---miles ahead

  • At that time I became a Sweet Fan! Brian is sexy and Mick is smart!! But: Very hard for germans to understand the lyrics!! It took me 30 years....

  • Brian Connolly was fucking amazing!!!!! I mean, wow!, check IT OUT!!!!

The looks, the voice, he had it all.

  • this kind of sounds like the guitar riff for "kickstart my heart" by motley crue. i guess they ripped the sweet off.

  • Die Musik, die mein Vater damals schon geil fand *lach*

  • I was 10 years old when this came out they were on top of their game back in 1973 still sounds awesome today. Id forgot what a great rock band they were thanks for posting!!.

  • every time i hear this song i kant help but think of how bad a job fuking def leppard did covering this amazing song

  • I haven't heard any other band do one of their songs well.

  • it sound like something kiss would performe...O.o

  • Mick Tucker top 10 drummers in rock history....end of story...

  • God Bless him and you, rock n roll niece...

  • I gave your Uncle a ride back to his hotel in 1978. In USA

  • @flippyflyer Agree! In fact can't think of anyone who I'd absolutely say was better.

  • @flippyflyer Seconded!

  • @flippyflyer Totally agree my friend. Just getting back into Sweet and Mick is fantastic. I'm a drummer and I love his style. Top top player. End of story indeed. RIP Mick.

  • @flippyflyer Seconded.

  • You might be right

  • @flippyflyer - totally agree with you!

  • Geil!!!

  • This song is as powerfull as it was when it came out; can't get enough of it.

Name me a hardrock-band of today who have such perfect harmonies and is so tight playing live!!

    Superb

  • The live cd is Called Hellraiser, mym mum's got it, Great live cd!

  • I want this whole concert to be released on DVD one day.

  • great band, great time....

  • Now I can hear where Crue got the riff for Kickstart my Heart (aside from Bad Motor Scooter). Given that Nikki was a Sweet fan, not a surprise.

  • kick asssssss driving song...

  • punk rockers of that time

  • The difference being that The Sweet had great songs, while most of the bands they influenced didn't.

  • theres a hole cd of that concert..i think its bootleg

  • Great song, SWEET forever. We Want SWEET, we want SWEET....

  • Unglaublich, wie wahnsinnig super diese Band im Original war!!!!

  • Excellent stuff, just wish i'd paid more attention back then.

  • I just can`t stop watching this.

The band were at their best at that time.

    The performance full of energy.

All 4 at 100% , specially Micks drumming.
