most of my favorite pink floyd songs are those before and up to DSOTM... i hate most of the Wall, Final Cut sucks, Animals is great but overly-pretentious and gets grating after too long. And Shine On... is the gem from WYWH.
I prefer Meddle, Obscured, and a lot of cuts from Atom Heart and More.... just my 2 cents. Piper is cool too... interesting to say the least!!
Songs like this, summer 68, fearless... more people ought to know about these masterpieces.
i remember the first time i heard that song i was about 15 years old , that hook me up instantaneously , now I'm 39 , and i felt the same feeling once again , just pink Floyd can do that .. jeez
While my friends are all listening to some Dubstep I am listening this song ^_^ they don't understand why i love Pink Floyd so much. they either only know Dark Side and The Wall or they say all floyd songs sound the same ...
This song is so beautiful; it's hard to believe the same band wrote something like The Wall or The Final Cut. This would definitely make my top 20 Floyd.
More is one of the most UNDERRATED albums.....I think its waaaaay better than the two albums which two me are just Gilmour solo albums Momentary and Bell...To me WATERS HAS to be in floyd for it to be considered floyd
this is real. unlike that bull shit you hear on the fucking radio. all lil wayne does is guzzle down some cough syrup and babble random ass words that he made up, but yet he makes millions of dollars, it makes no sense, theres no talent in that what so ever. this right here, this is pure talent. it reeks of talent.
@snikrepak its spelled colour if you are looking at an Oxford dictionary and spelled color if you are looking at a Websters dictionary, one is from Britain, the other from USA, I am suprised a Floyd fan doesn't know this, thought we were smarter than the average bear...
@destined2sleep Hey man, i was just saying i grew up in England so of course I am going to say Colour. And regardless of dictionary, the song was released "Green is the colour"
@snikrepak i grew up in one of ur mongrel children cuntrees, New Zealand, i am aware that Floyd are english and title should fan the same courtesy but if the uploader is american kiss his balls cause he uplloaded a great song. Moral of the rant is stop fretting over pedantic crap that u will lose sleepover
Love the piccolo(at least I think that's what that is) and I must agree this is one of their best songs and I only discovered it two years ago. My father, a life-long fan had never heard it and was amazed when I played it for him. Yes this song always takes me to bliss for a few moments, sit back and enjoy life
@3lullabies I know how to play guitar...it's more than learning a procession of chords, it's capturing an emotion and developing it into something. The chords are simple as shit, but they play it in such a way...
k lets not beat around the bush this is one of their best, if not the best... its simple, uplifting and very inspirational, what amazing musicians. LONG LIVE THE FLOYD
@deano1161 nearly every song they ever wrote was a gem. when you're exposed to so much garbage on the radio and television these days, you forget just how moving good music can be.
Been spending my evening listening to Pink floyd songs I've never listened to before, what a wonderful way to procrastinate. I love the instrumental at the end, makes me very happy, it is such a feel good piece of music. I think I shall dance to the kitchen now and get meself some icecream, ah yes LIFE IS FAB
They've had their slip ups. The Gnome was just... yeah, and the second half of Momentary Lapse of Reason is pure filler. And it's been a while since I've heard The Final Cut, but I remember that I really wasn't impressed with it.
@HahahahaLolRofl not famous cause floyd was underground then, always were anti commercial band, it's a part of why it makes them the best band on the planet so far, Tool is good aswell but don't have the range floyd did, waters may have been a controlling prick but the man knew what was best, he is a genius imo, without waters floyd would be a fly by nighter, u can replace any member of that band and waters would still bang out the gems and make floyd as good as it was with the original members
@destined2sleep nah i think without david and richard, it wouldn't be as great, you could drop nick easy, but the other two you kinda needed cos they wrote some really great floyd songs, but i do agree, without waters, theres no floyd
@harveydents HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT! 1. The piper 1. A Saucerful 1. More (soundtrack) 1. Ummagumma 1. Atom Heart Mother 1. Meddle 1. Obscured by Clouds 1. Dark Side 1. Wish you 1. Animals 1. @HahahahaLolRofl Because The Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall and Division Bell was highly mainstream. This is too underground to be known.

In conclusion, Anything by Pink Floyd is pure genius. All of it.

@HahahahaLolRofl Because Pink Floyd never released singles. Contary to belief. Another Brick in the Wall was a single and went straight to number one and was also Christmas No.1 1979. And so that is why ths is 'commercial'' but it is very famous amongst EAL Floydicans.
@HahahahaLolRofl I'd rather have a throw away song like Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2 overplayed to death than this song, cause this is much better than a fate like that :)
