  • most of my favorite pink floyd songs are those before and up to DSOTM... i hate most of the Wall, Final Cut sucks, Animals is great but overly-pretentious and gets grating after too long. And Shine On... is the gem from WYWH.

I prefer Meddle, Obscured, and a lot of cuts from Atom Heart and More.... just my 2 cents. Piper is cool too... interesting to say the least!!

Songs like this, summer 68, fearless... more people ought to know about these masterpieces.

  • PF.. You keep surprising me.. thanks!

  • Who else thinks this is one of their best songs ever written besides me?

  • @warpigs1970 ... I do!!

  • @warpigs1970 Great song...Great David ...

  • super upload, fkng great quality for a 240p vid

  • i remember the first time i heard that song i was about 15 years old , that hook me up instantaneously , now I'm 39 , and i felt the same feeling once again , just pink Floyd can do that .. jeez

  • makes me travel in a beautiful harmony .Long live to pink floyd and long live to gilmour's voice

  • I say this explicitly, it is the most beautiful song of Pink Floyd

    Gilmour's voice is unbelievable.

  • Good song.

  • Nice song, damn, how I miss this band...

  • While my friends are all listening to some Dubstep I am listening this song ^_^ they don't understand why i love Pink Floyd so much. they either only know Dark Side and The Wall or they say all floyd songs sound the same ...

  • I've never heard this one before, but it's beautiful! What album is it?

  • @withoutreasonorrhyme Unfortunately, it isn't in any album, it was composed for a film and then released as a single.

  • @Zyphes Wow, that explains why I could never find it anywhere! Beautiful song.

  • @pugfacedkaj dont you know that it is in the movie more's soundtrack? every true pink floyd fan knows that lol

  • @Zyphes Oh, alright. Thanks a lot :)

  • @withoutreasonorrhyme Well it is in the album More. Its the soundtrack to the film so called.

  • @Zyphes MORE soundtrack. It's a great album

  • @withoutreasonorrhyme it is on the soundtrack from the movie more

  • =( sid barret will be missed

  • @TheRoosterRedemption As much as I love Syd Barret, this song is by Waters. Still, early Floyd is amazing :D

  • Green Is the Colour of Creepers :3

  • at least half of the views are from PBAT

  • @DoNaVaNq Implying PBat is more popular than Pink Floyd.

  • PBat likes Pink Floyd? Fuckign awesome.

  • pbat r u a rider fan?

  • two people suck at life....this by far the most beautiful song they have ever made besides ANY COLOUR YOU LIKE

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID GILMOUR!

  • Green is the color of a bud always, til its smoked anyway!!

  • Green is the color..of a bud when u grind it :)

  • run.

  • complete breath of fresh air, and its 40 years old. Only Pink Floyd.

  • it sounds even better live

  • FLOYD + HOT GIRLS + POT= INTENSE HIGH TIMES

  • @MrDodstink Floyd is more than enough...haha...

  • two people were so high while listening to this that they clicked the wrong button

  • This is so spesh...for all the right reasons. x

  • Thom Yorke, now I see where you got your influence from! Great songs, seriously, somewhat of a mixture between Radiohead and The Beatles.

  • both of their soundtracks were so amazingly good

  • Love in cold war times. FLOYD took negative moods into hopeful and mysterious paths...

  • Great video, guys i made a cover of this song, from one Floyd fan to another, please check it out: ?v=cR7N8le7vv8

  • Quickness of the eye deceives the mind but NOT of die hard fans of mighty FLOYD.

  • Τελειωνω.

  • wat? pink floyd, underground? mainstream? a top of pink floyd's albums?

    you people, are Wrong.

    welcome, this is real music.

  • This song is so beautiful; it's hard to believe the same band wrote something like The Wall or The Final Cut. This would definitely make my top 20 Floyd.

  • this song is great, sounds even better when he sings it live

  • That's the kind of music my kids will listen to!

  • ever since i found this song i haven't been able to get enough its so angelic

  • This song makes me smile every time i listen to it...:)

  • More is one of the most UNDERRATED albums.....I think its waaaaay better than the two albums which two me are just Gilmour solo albums Momentary and Bell...To me WATERS HAS to be in floyd for it to be considered floyd

  • perfect song to love your girl to. best fuckin' band EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @nachoxm ever!!!!!!!

  • best song ever!!!!

  • this is famous. and while darkside and the wall are good music, pink floyds most interesting music was syd barrett and early gilmour years.

  • this is real. unlike that bull shit you hear on the fucking radio. all lil wayne does is guzzle down some cough syrup and babble random ass words that he made up, but yet he makes millions of dollars, it makes no sense, theres no talent in that what so ever. this right here, this is pure talent. it reeks of talent.

  • this is love.

  • Its Spelled Colour

  • @snikrepak its spelled colour if you are looking at an Oxford dictionary and spelled color if you are looking at a Websters dictionary, one is from Britain, the other from USA, I am suprised a Floyd fan doesn't know this, thought we were smarter than the average bear...

  • @destined2sleep Hey man, i was just saying i grew up in England so of course I am going to say Colour. And regardless of dictionary, the song was released "Green is the colour"

  • @snikrepak i grew up in one of ur mongrel children cuntrees, New Zealand, i am aware that Floyd are english and title should fan the same courtesy but if the uploader is american kiss his balls cause he uplloaded a great song. Moral of the rant is stop fretting over pedantic crap that u will lose sleepover

  • Love the piccolo(at least I think that's what that is) and I must agree this is one of their best songs and I only discovered it two years ago. My father, a life-long fan had never heard it and was amazed when I played it for him. Yes this song always takes me to bliss for a few moments, sit back and enjoy life

  • best song ever.

  • I'd give anything to write a song like this

  • @lilvjdude would you give me head? cause ill pay for beginner song writing classes, like 10 dollars an hour for a couple of weeks

  • @lilvjdude pick up a guitar and learn chords. its great fun.

the chords floyd uses are allmost allways g/c/e/a/d and sometimes f or b.

    this song is (verse)-g/c/g/c (chorus)-g/b/c/e/d

    and repeat

  • @3lullabies I know how to play guitar...it's more than learning a procession of chords, it's capturing an emotion and developing it into something. The chords are simple as shit, but they play it in such a way...

  • k lets not beat around the bush this is one of their best, if not the best... its simple, uplifting and very inspirational, what amazing musicians. LONG LIVE THE FLOYD

  • when everyone bangs on about the dark side of the moon and the wall its always good to hear the hidden gems!

  • @deano1161 couldn't have said it better myself....

  • Comment removed

  • @deano1161..yeah man pre dark side floyd is the best i think

  • @deano1161 nearly every song they ever wrote was a gem. when you're exposed to so much garbage on the radio and television these days, you forget just how moving good music can be.

  • Been spending my evening listening to Pink floyd songs I've never listened to before, what a wonderful way to procrastinate. I love the instrumental at the end, makes me very happy, it is such a feel good piece of music. I think I shall dance to the kitchen now and get meself some icecream, ah yes LIFE IS FAB

  • Its just one of them Floyd songs that goes unmentioned, why ? Its just perfect. R I P Rick Wright & Sid !

  • damn pink floyd is so good.

  • "Envy is the bond between the hopeful and the damned"

    What a great line.

  • wow that is good, ive heard this song like 20 times before but never read the lyrics, thanks

  • you sounded so stupid-ish

  • ok mr gay-ish.what ever you say

  • what a great gem of a song , all the young generations need to be listing to this song, and say "who is that"

  • LOLWHODAT

  • This is so much better than Another Brick in the Wall... Why is this not famous? Lol

  • I wouldn't say "so much better", I mean, all Pink Floyd is great. I don't think anyone can name a bad Pink Floyd song.

  • @PackLeader1990

They've had their slip ups. The Gnome was just... yeah, and the second half of Momentary Lapse of Reason is pure filler. And it's been a while since I've heard The Final Cut, but I remember that I really wasn't impressed with it.

  • The final cut can be a hard album to get into, but in all honesty once it grabs you its every inch as beautiful as the wall

  • Personally I don't think you should be marked down for this, you have every right to express your opinion and you aren't being rude...

  • Fanboys will be fanboys. =/ I love the band, but every band out there has their flaws and slip-ups. At least they're being civil about it.

  • Because most people think that Floyd only had 2 albums The Wall and Dark Side. Sad really. I think The Wall is my least fav.

  • @HahahahaLolRofl not famous cause floyd was underground then, always were anti commercial band, it's a part of why it makes them the best band on the planet so far, Tool is good aswell but don't have the range floyd did, waters may have been a controlling prick but the man knew what was best, he is a genius imo, without waters floyd would be a fly by nighter, u can replace any member of that band and waters would still bang out the gems and make floyd as good as it was with the original members

  • @destined2sleep nah i think without david and richard, it wouldn't be as great, you could drop nick easy, but the other two you kinda needed cos they wrote some really great floyd songs, but i do agree, without waters, theres no floyd

  • @HahahahaLolRofl this is a million times better than the whole of division bel and momentary!

  • @harveydents HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT! 1. The piper 1. A Saucerful 1. More (soundtrack) 1. Ummagumma 1. Atom Heart Mother 1. Meddle 1. Obscured by Clouds 1. Dark Side 1. Wish you 1. Animals 1. The Wall 1. Final Cut 1. Momentary Lapse 1. Delicate sound 1. Division 1. P.U.L.S.E. 1. Is there anybody out there

  • @HahahahaLolRofl Because The Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall and Division Bell was highly mainstream. This is too underground to be known.

Although, I do believe 1978- Pink Floyd is better than 1979+ but that doesn't mean that it wasn't great. In fact, If you've been born after 1980, You most likely listened to The Wall, DSOTM or Division Bell before anything older.

In conclusion, Anything by Pink Floyd is pure genius. All of it.

  • @filou13 Come on dude...grouping the Division Bell with the Wall and DSOTM is a crime.

  • @bughead3 My bad.

  • @filou13 underground my ass, if you are a pink floyd fan, you now all the albums, this one; more, is a soundtrack of a movie called the same way

  • @alonsormp It is underground for most Pink Floyd listeners of our generation.

  • @HahahahaLolRofl because you don't know about it, first of all, this is pink floyd, the album is called more, it's a soundtrack for a movie called the same way, it's about a couple of hippies living in ibiza in the sixties jejje very good, now you now it

  • @HahahahaLolRofl completely agree with you!"

  • @HahahahaLolRofl Because Pink Floyd never released singles. Contary to belief. Another Brick in the Wall was a single and went straight to number one and was also Christmas No.1 1979. And so that is why ths is 'commercial'' but it is very famous amongst EAL Floydicans.

  • @HahahahaLolRofl Another Brick in the Wall is ridiculously overplayed on the radio. It'd be nice to hear Floyd's OTHER songs. >:/ Lol.

  • @HahahahaLolRofl I'd rather have a throw away song like Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2 overplayed to death than this song, cause this is much better than a fate like that :)

  • @HahahahaLolRofl because it was a b-side classic and meant to stay there. also the band at the time i believe and i may be wrong werent as big till dark side came out and everything blew up

  • Please correct this, it was written by an English man and there the title should be "Green is the colour".

  • Lindy Mason's flute is the perfect touch, and the Fender Rhodes piano chucked in there's absolutely wonderful. This song is definitely one of the best songs of its time, if you know what I mean--and Gilmour's voice is wonderful as well!

  • 38 year old piece of music and it still sounds damn good.

  • Good music stays good.

  • excellent song should be more recognized ,peace!

  • this song is beatiful in its simplicity...for me it's more beautiful than evey other song on dark side of the moon...

  • gilmour has an amazing voice

  • beautiful

    thanks

  • Love this song =D I can play it on guitar its easy!

  • Yeah--the chords are perfectly simple!

But have you any idea about the intro with the acoustic or classical guitar? I've got part of it figured out, but I can't be arsed to get the rest, and I'm having an impossible time finding tabs of it online...

  • Try playing lead around the chords that may help.

  • Thanks--I mean I get the progression and the idea of that, but I just can't get it right (I'm playing a classical guitar bit on a Ric 12-string that's not plugged in... not quite the same!)

But thank you, that did help.

  • Watch the video "Syd Barrett's trip to his accountant". It's very funny lol.

  • Nice Video but I would call it "Pink Floyd - Green Is The Colour (1969) (more)" but we know what you mean.

  • Thank you!
