Pat, you'll probably never read this, but I just wanted to thank you for making me feel better. I am sitting here so tired, but wanting to write this so badly. I just went through surgery and hopefully am recovering from thyroid cancer. I am was sitting here feeling so sorry for myself, but your music took me away from my troubles and made me feel good about myself at least for a few minutes.
This clip shows how much Jim is a fan of Pete Townsend. P was a big influence on him, which is one of the many things that make Jim a great guitar player.
Liz!! LOL. And what a great show it was... Yes, we know it was your fault... all your pointing and howling at him made him drop his pick! LOL. I was just honored to have him RIGHTTHEREINMYFACE, within licking distance. Ha-ha!!! I'm looking at the free show in Edison the 13th. You?
I know... those were the classic days. Jimmy has said that he uses his Tele's on tour these days 'cuz they're reliable, easy, and versatile... and they can 'take a licking an still keep on ticking'-- i.e., he can beat 'em up and hold up really well. LOL.
They're rather tight-lipped about it. From what I've heard, it was NOT an acrimonious parting-- Mike just shifted priorities in his life. But it was really heartbreaking to the rest of the band members.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great version. The distortion just adds to this fantastic song. Nice guys too! Met them in Oshkosh, WI. a couple summers ago. That was the first time I heard their version of The Beatles "Don't bother me". Thanks for posting this.

Oh yeah... then check him out in my footage of "Blood and Roses" in Montclair, NJ. No where is it more evident than there! :)

I missed the Edison show tonight. :( Weather was too ominous for an outdoor event. Didn't need another Iron Maiden PNC episode. Next time...

Anybody know why Mike Mesaros left the band? I can't find any discussion on this anywhere...
