It's good to see people willing to "do the work". So many times in my 50+ years of being in the chimney business we run across "patchwork fixes" or "cold patches" as it is called. Some will make the argument, "what happens to all the weight that those brick you removed were supporting?", and the answer is, "it gets shifted elsewhere never to be re-distributed onto the new brickwork." I've done it and never had a problem.
that is great work I have a very large chimney and all the bricks on the very bottom are cracking and breaking would it be safe to remove them? Chimney runs down to the crawl space the bad brick is above it on the ground looks like this chimney only square and TALLER .POST VIDEO ON AN OFF DAY .Thank you buddy

Tripod. Holds the camera still so we can see. Use it.

Do you drink alcohol before you make these videos? You are slurring your words

They don't soud slurred to me - perhaps a different accent than you are used to?
Anyway - thanks, very helpful video... just what I needed to see to do my own.

Western Pennsylvania. We're a severe weather region, you guys get it pretty good too, I hear.
Watch movies. I only do chimneys, and if you seen one recrown, ya seen em all. Same with tucking. If I didn't say the price paid, email me.
