My dad was a polka drummer in Mansfield Ohio (I later joined the band) and we BOTH always loved the Eddie Stampfl Band & especially Joe Stradiot on the drums. He was always hamming it up for the camera & just seemed like an all-around great guy. Sure do miss those great days!
I just love it when I hear comments like that. You can thank the Cleveland Style Polka Hall of Fame for that video. Videos like that are historically kept in their archives and they were very gracious to allow me to post it.
Eddie is my 2nd cousin, my maternal 2nd cousin Lillian's husband. I call them Uncle Eddie and Aunt Lillian. Two great people! Debra
