I never said that a few carefully selected prophecies didn't come to pass.

He predicted immediate wide-spread financial collapse,

imminent persecution of christians in America,

the mark without which we could neither buy nor sell,

and lots more.

Sure, 30 years later we have a bit of financial crisis,

but even now it;s nothing compared to his predictions

and christians are certainly not persecuted in America.

what I would say that Wilkersons involvement in the 'Charismatic movements' is actually all the more reason we ought to listen to him now. If HE is telling you this has gone too far and the pentecostal movement has gone wrong then it is saying a lot!

Wilkerson would know. If he considers it 'too far' then you know it really is way too far.

you still missed this point entirely. The more of a 'kook' Wilkerson is makes it all the more reason to be seriously alarmed when he (who will accept much) is upset and can no longer condone the madness. Then you know it must be very kooky indeed when even he can't handle it anymore.

What disturbs me is that I have dear friends who are sincere Christians and usually very reasonable people who know how to study a bible - yet - I find out they got fully involved in Toronto Airport and are sliding into this type of 'charismania' and being 'drunk in the spirit' etc.

It really breaks my heart and it really seems like there is nothing I can say to them to 'wake them up' from this obsession.

The misinformed comments about crime in NYC are incorrect. In fact it is partly due to Pastor Dave and TSC and also Mayor Guliani that the Times Square area was cleaned up and crime actually decreased. However Pastor Dave travels the world now and only comes back to NYC about once every few months. But you are seriously misinformed about the impact of his ministry.
