If I think about it in the long term, I'd rather have an automatic which is less of a hassle to use because I wouldn't have to constantly remember to put it back in first gear every time I brake.

Plus, automatic has tap-shift manual so if I wanted to drive manual for a change, I could use that. Of course, it I drive it every once in a while for fun, then I'd definately use manual.

I believe these new Camaro's have a semi-automatic transmission, so you can still shift up and down to whatever gear you like (( or put it on the drive gear and drive it like a full auto if you want )), except that there is no clutch to press down. I think a Camaro with semi-automatic transmission driven as if it were a manual can hold it's own against a Camaro with a Manual transmission.
