Water can provoke a logical reaction for animals. A dog can start "swimming" when held over water and not even touching it. Water touching the cat can provoke a drinking motion. It's not because of thirst.

Woody is so cute but clearly also very thirsty. Cats don't have a strong thirst drive, so there could be something wrong with his kidneys. have you checked it out?

@elenikiroy From the other videos, it's clear Woody PREFERS having the water run over his head, even when he can drink water otherwise. As far as I'm concerned, getting cats to drink more is all to the good, because they are so prone to urinary stones.
