This must be cause of an honor of us filming they're elevators. Those places probably don't want us filming their elevators. Lol. unless if ur a guest there
@FGelevators I know, which really sucks since the Westin Peachtree Plaza is America's second-tallest hotel at 73 floors, and I wouldn't be surprised is the Marriott in Detroit (copied Westin Peachtree Plaza but added a foot to be tallest hotel) would be the same way. The Hilton in Atlanta added key-card readers for the top 3 floors (and may soon make that for all floors), all of the W's, Westins, and the Hotel Palomar added key-card readers for all floors in 2009 or 2010.
@FGelevators I know. The key-card readers were a recent addition. For some reason, many hotels in Atlanta have key-carded all of their guest floors last year. I am not sure if there was a scare or some sort of security agreement that had the hotels do that. Almost all of the hotels in Atlanta that are owned by Starwood are key-carded, which has me question whether all Starwood hotels are required by company policy to have "Key-card-e-vators".
@escalatorgeek881 No, I dont believe such a policy exists with ALL Starwood hotels having card readers on the elevators. At Four Points and Aloft this does not appear to be the case, as none of those that I have stayed in have had keycard readers on the elevators. As for Sheraton, Westin, and Le Meridien some do and some dont. The ones in Toronto don't but the Westin Book Cadillac (Detroit) and Sheraton Station Square (Pittsburgh) have them. OTOH, all of the W's I've stayed at have them.
wow these are nice elevators. did you try the westin peachtree plaza ?? that westin hotel has a 72 story scenic otis elevator that takes you up to the sundial restaurant.
!I have been there and went up it and took a private tour. Funnnn!!!!!

@elevatorgeek88 I didn't go to the SunDial, but I managed to get to the 70th floor by the main elevators, even though they are Key-card-e-vators.
