Do you know which species in the Southwest bears large numerous nuts? They're just prohibitively expensive to buy

they might be high in fat, however not all fats are created the same and don't cook them it destroys the nutrition of it...

There are as Siberian pine nuts (cedar nuts) (pine sibirica), growing in Russia, which are a delicacy for locals

pine cones? like the pine trees here in canada? any old pine tree? i might have to try these, although heating may de-nature the fats and RUIN the nutritional value.
no wonder bears eat this stuff, must be good.
