Sasuke is easily the worst character in the series, largely because every other problem with the series and whatever problem the other characters have like Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi all has to do with him in some way, and the focus on him ruined any chance anyone other than Naruto had of becoming relevant to the story. I wouldnt say i hate any particular Naruto character other than Danzo and Kabuto, but Sasuke does piss me off, in all honesty though Sasuke fans piss me off even more, the guy is an irrational fool. When Bee lariated him i must admit i loved it since we all thought it was gonna be another supreme Sasuke moment. And why so many Sasuke fans dislike the main character i have no idea... Naruto finished Nagato with words, Sasuke at that point wouldnt have even scratched the 6 pains :P

Not to me Shikamaru is the best, Kakashi is the best.

Sasuke is just an over emotional prick that thinks he's better than he actually is.

Naruto along with others have risked their asses for him for so long, and what does he do? Declare that he is going to kill them all.

Plus while Naruto actually trains power, Sasuke is "given" power.

That is one of my main gripes with Sasuke.

I'd go with did. Cause after Orochimau, I have yet to see Sasuke trained even once. Yet he has some new abilities that were given to him, and others that just came out of nowhere. Yeah Naruto is cheap, but we get to see what he had to do to gain those powers.

With the exception of Itachi and Tobi, the whole Uchiha Clan seen to be cheap.

@Trayxxxx Im sure that Sasuke does do a lot of training that we don't get to see due to the fact that he's not the MAIN character. Of course we see what Naruto goes through but that's because he's the focus of the story line. He definitely still trains. In the manga he had to train to get used to the eternal Mangekyo. Its easier to argue that Naruto is given his powers because of the Kyuubi.

I'm sorry but I can't buy that. If the was the case then:

1. The manga would show some glimpse of Sasuke training. Yes Naruto is the main character but Sasuke is too. He is Naruto's main conflict and goal.

2. There was never anytime to indicate he did any training. He was usually healing during the off time.

3. His reckless use of the MS ultimately leading to his blindness proves that he did no training whatsoever.

Yes, Naruto's powers were given to him, but he had no choice in the matter. He was a helpless baby at the time. And even then he still had to earn them from the Kyubbi *later on*.

Sasuke on the other had got Itachi's powers cause Itachi knew that even Sasuke as he is now, wasn't strong enough. Look a Sasuke's record as proof....

You are obviously reading the manga with your eyes closed... Naruto had to train with his power and even than could only hold control up to three tails, only recently has he gotten Kyuubi's respect. Sasuke get's everything from his I-am-better-than-god eyes... and he misuses that power which proves he doesnt train...

@PegasusSword To be fair, he wasn't really overpowered in this fight. The hax at the end of this fight was justified to move the plot forward. At that point, there were still a few elite Jonin, and a number of Kage (both dead and alive) who could match Sasuke in a fight, based on the techniques and power levels that Kishimoto had previously demonstrated up until the end of this fight.

@PegasusSword As for un-coolness, when he acknowledged that his only goal was "in the darkness", it sounded cool and nihilistic, but after a minute, I realized that he was saying that he shouldn't get over it, everyone involved should just die instead, and whatever reminds him of it and makes him angry (furthers or fuels his "hatred") has to die instead. Maybe it was Itachi's fault, for telling him he actually NEEDED to hate things to be strong. Most STRONG ninjas in Naruto aren't rage-drunk.

Well the reason i say he is naive, is cause that wasn't the only time he got tricked. Itachi holds that record. But the problem with madara is that it really didn't take much effort to trick Sasuke in the first place.

And the fact that he knows that everybody in the village cares for him and nearly dies to save him he still turns his back on them and falls deeper and deeper to insanity.

And him being an asshole.... He acts the part to me.
