  • This song has happier lyrics than most of Gorillaz songs.

  • first minute sounds like a typical iranian song

  • How does a comment like that get 74 likes, if it had any redeeming qualities i'd like it.

  • "And dont bring religion here, no freaking" Love this song.

  • this song was very very interesting on shrooms, i repeated it like 8 times..

  • idk why when i search White Flag in google appears Dildo or dido idk who the hell are them

  • @mrFAFO91 The dildos my friend, are some divices that the lonely women use when they're bored and looking for sexual pleasure, i think you ment Dido who is a English pop singer that made the song Stan with Eminem in 2000 for the album The Marshall Mathers Lp :)

  • @reknae

sorry, reknae (rake-nay) is kinda how i read it and it sounded like a guy to me

  • And don't bring religion here, no free kings

    Love that sentence :)

  • @c0c0jumbo Three Kings

  • my favorite song on my favorite album for my favorite band..... life is good

  • @Dbkit shut up

  • And one of my friends said all Arabic music is annoying, hah

(The intro is done by the London Philharmonic for Arabic Music)

  • @Dbkit I think the rap is actually very fitting and it doesn't take away from the melody but its a preference thing :)

  • @jonnybgood123456789

    I Hope They Kill You.

  • @MrFrenchMen lol classic

  • sounds like friendly fires !

  • Comment removed

  • This is my snow soundtrack :D

  • @Dbkit keep ur fkn stupid-ass thoughts to urself bitch

  • I really wished that the intro was what the guy rapped on.

  • The begining of this song kinda sounds like Raving Rabbids Travel In Time music.

  • @Dbkit I think they did a great job integrading the two parts, maybe your intination is off, because it sounds perfect to me

  • @Dbkit, I agree this song is beautiful. I'm not too fond of rap either, but if you hear what he's actually talking about, it makes it that much better. It's a peaceful song and I think the rap compliments it well.

  • i love this song its great and prob one of the best on the album!

  • Dbkit is right its great till the rap

  • Bongos with the intro! sick!

  • us show plastic beach >/watch?v=WXFntn3xK-4

  • this is beautiful, you listen to a very cool sound and rythm,... then the YOH LOOK and starts the fun, gorillaz's songs have everything on it

  • sounds very arabian i like it

  • any one has the instrumental for this? the intro is awesome..

  • @oilmeupbro I thought everyone who put random comments on videos were some stupid douche bags, But due to your name and your comment, You have enlightened my views entirely... I love you..

  • if this song were a pancake,

    it'd be a good pancake

  • @oilmeupbro for some reason that makes me think of the mighty boosh

  • This song is fucking epic!

  • @Dbkit Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... No. The message isn't getting quite through to you it seems. Oh well.

  • I love the rap and the intro and the lyrics.

  • The people who listen to Gorillaz has beautiful souls.

  • @reknae but poor grammer

  • @marcos96i

    true:)

  • @marcos96i <3

  • @reknae thx u must have a beautiful soul 2.

  • @reknae even gingers?

  • @solemnsoul17 Man...there are limits...

  • @reknae is that English?

  • @Orange52350

yea, sue me for making a grammar error then. It's not like I don't know how to speak english. I'm on the verge of deleting my comment just because of all these replies. Ok, you got me, english isn't my native language.

  • @reknae haha, good song though

  • @Orange52350

    agreed.

  • @reknae

you idiots know what he means, its a mistake that even english speakers know. your the kind of people that hold societies back from progressing further.

also i counted my mistakes typing and it'd have 8 different typos if i didn't check it, i was taught english since birth so shut up

  • @elgatochurro

Thank you... I'm not American or English, but I think of myself as a fluent speaker although I make these small mistakes every once in a while. It's natural. And by the way, I'm not a 'he' :)

  • @reknae that actually put a smile on my face in this dar moment of mine....thanks

  • @NxKronik

    you're very welcome-

  • @reknae Thanks xD

  • @reknae Then, I guess 18 people have ugly souls :3

  • @MurialTheCat121

    think so.

  • white flag? white flag.

  • BUMP SOME OF YALL!!! they did every thing perfectly, its balanced out perfectly between the calm and the crunk, look respect the island!!

  • its Gorillaz STYLE!!! twisted and we LIKE IT

  • This song is just plain awesome!

  • 0:00 to 1:06 should have been the intro of the album

  • this could been a such good song but this rappin' messed it up -.-

  • this is crazy so many cultures at once only Gorillaz sounds amazing

  • @Zo3y2014 Wy do you think this song is called "White Flag"? :)

  • @Dbkit meh, you're wrong, connects perfectly

  • @Dbkit I actually kind of like it :3

  • @Dbkit You're right....

  • Kano is so amazing :)

  • I think this track just extends the idea that the Gorillaz are so diverse in which Genres they cover. Hell, this is one of those genre-defying songs. It's not amazing, but it's a good addition to the album.

  • @Dbkit The rap gives it more soul. :P

  • I fucking hate rap, but I can't hate on Gorillaz because they're awesome... it's just the rap I fucking hate!!

  • I like the whole song. The first part gives a bit of an intro, since this is still the 3rd song on the cd. They rap part is what I like to term as the "end of the intro, beginning of the end."

  • that wasnt me though....

  • 15 people failed so hard, the missed the ''LIKE'' button.

  • @Alillypadproduction make that 16 XD

  • @SithFighter4 DX oh Come On ppl these days...and the fail of a mouse click... V__V

  • @Dbkit youre definently not thinking outside the box enough. This album incorporates so many different genres into one and it all somehow works with a distinct sound. That is very hard to do. this is one of the greatest albums! besides, whats wrong with hip hop, so many people misunderstand it

  • i felt like tarzan in the prelude o.o

  • @Dbkit i am disapoint in your choice cause every song (xcept 911) by gorillaz is awesomeness

  • @doomsdayiscool even 911 is ok

  • this is some kind of adventure for youre ears...

  • I'm sorry, but some of the lyrics just crack me up.

  • I dig the lyrics. yeah.

  • @arscariosus1337 agreed

  • @Dbkit It is definitely weird. I dig it, though.

  • I actually think this is the last combination of genres I of music I would expect to be united, but somehow I think it's BRILLIANT! And the lyrics are very cool

  • one word ........ genius.

  • Epicly brilliant stuff!

  • i love gorillaz

  • I was belly dancing to this song, Coachella 1 yr ago. killedd it.

  • een nummer met een hoog ''Efteling-gehalte'' ;-)

  • @41479259 excuse me, the user is an american guy (sorry!?, maar de gebruiker is een amerikaan!)

  • this song never ceases to make my day

  • :D

  • i didn't like the plastic album when i first heard it (and there are still some songs i don't like on it) but i just listened to this song and i decided that the gorillaz (and rap) wasn't dead.

  • @theiNZANEone1 it happened the same to me :p sorry 4 mi inglish dud

  • one word: EPIC

  • best rap song ever!

  • 2D!!! & NOODLES!

  • I surrender to this song

  • makes me want to smoke some weed and grab donkey kong country for snes out of my closet '^^v'

  • whos rappin

  • @bropey

    Kano and Bashy.

  • @OvaNineThousand Thanks

  • I imagine 2D playing the bongos at the beginning. ^_^

  • the prelude of this song is very amazing listen it for just its prelude again again... :) i love arabic spirit... arabic soul...

  • want those demon day type feeling back

  • @rj689

The Gorillaz have always been a changing group. Demon Days didn't come out like their debut did, and Plastic Beach didn't come out like Demon Days. In addition, they had DJ Danger Mouse working with for Demon Days. Now that he's out, the sound has to change, eh?

  • arab style

  • Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo under rated album... wasnt surprised when i listend to the lyrics =)

    Gorillaz RULE

  • it makes me want to do bellydancing! hahaha the beginning is fantastic!

  • Supermanempire1 is a fucking hipster.

  • Comment removed

  • Kano makes this record !

  • NoBoDy'S bEtTeR! <33

  • Lebanese music by the way, Lebanese orchestra in Lebanon ! Not egyptian or Turkish but it's perfectly normal people think that because middle eastern music or oriental music is all similar morroco to iran, many of the same scales are used in music. Arabic scales you may call them

  • i remember seeing them in Austin... some guy took the white flag off the stage and ran around with it until he was asked to give it back :) gotta love texas!

  • This is probably their best album, it has a mix of everything.

  • Honey! I shrunk the kids!

  • My bro just played this song for me yesterday. This is the sweetest rap I've ever heard!

  • is that kano and bashy?

  • @gallowgate1985 yes.

  • Like Turkish music :)

  • LOL FUNNIEST TUNE EVER !!!

  • great song. makes me think im in hyrul hahah

  • great song!i like it

  • Great song, chorus especially!

  • i think the olny wayy for them to come up whith this stuff is they wer high when they wrote the song but who cares

  • Theres only three good songs on this album, including this one. Too bad theres no decent video.

  • I liked it up till the words started

  • gorillaz is the best

you need to see how much styles they youse

    beautiful

  • I don't really like this album to much, the older gorillaz albums where fucking amazing. Most of the stuff on this album is to......generic. Where's the originality? Alas, I give it a thumbs up for riving the band and having a couple decent songs. Woohoo!

  • Reminds me of Okami. ^^

  • 11 people have a black and red flag

  • This song was hardcore in concert. it felt so unique.

  • u no wot the begginig of this sounds like sum 1s on magic mushrooms !!! :)

  • Anyone know what piece of music the beginning segment is taken from???

  • @GuzzyVision it's sampled from the Lebanese National Orchestra. You can find a few of their recordings on youtube, but I don't know which one is the sample

  • @GuzzyVision *the lebanese national orchestra for oriental arabic music

  • @GuzzyVision gorillaz got the lebanese national orchestra to play on it. it's not sampled or anything.

  • where da rhymes at ?

  • one of my favorites!

  • plastic beach is a pretty good album

nothing really great but pretty good

but this song is fuckin.. BAD

i mean it´s just two totally different songs put together in one song

and the two parts aren´t even connected at all with each other

the whole song has no sense it´s just some average rap lyrics and a bit of arabian classic music

  • me da mucha lastima lo que se hizo algo que crecio conmigo

vengo de un pueblo rural y en serio...me dan ganas de llorar

  • "like hi liitle lady sex on the beach wanna try for a baby" ?

  • lol, KGB project. Nice to know someone still likes Kyle Gass. the m ovie was funny :D

  • @alollisa They were made because they or he thought that people made too big of a deal of the singer, not the music. In my opinion I think it's ah-mazing AND I love Noodle(: Cool back stories, you should look it up(:

  • I actually dislike arabic music and rap but I'm addicted to this song!

BTW if Damon does all the work, why did he call his band Gorillaz and for what Noodle,Russel and Murdoc are made for?

  • I just imagine 2D on the deck of PB holding a white flag while smoking. <3

  • Most of the songs on Plastic Beach are fantastic, but this song sucks big hairy ballsack. Classical + rap? Gimme a break. I like neither very much, and together, they're that much worse.

  • This was recorded with the Syrian Orchestra for Arabic Music. They will play it together live in Damascus on the 25th of July. Cannot wait for it!

  • Sick Album

  • Anyone else think there's one note in the bass which is flat by about a semitone? It's been driving me mental!

  • The only Gorillaz album I actually like. And I really love it!

  • Indeed Respect the Island *Bows*

  • sounds turkish lol

  • am i the only one who notices the prelude is perfect for belly dance? : P

  • @alyszz i was thinking floor routine lol

  • @alyszz cause it's played by a doumbek (middle-eastern hand drum) aka perfect belly dancing instrument :) <3

  • @alyszz lol evidently not.

  • The best Rap song that i'v heard in a long, long time.

  • Big up the Lebanese National Orchestra on this!

  • Love the intro but where the hell is 2-d? It doesn't sound like the goirllaz it sounds like a side project Damon should have started.

  • @overdose1992

Not every song needs Damon Albarn (aka 2D) singing. >_>

  • @Nesplayer Agreed.

  • @Nesplayer like your name

  • Gorillaz are awesome! their music is always great and this track is superb! lovin the mix of Oriental orchestra and the grittiness of UK Grime! Lovin this Shit!!!!!!

  • this ain't Atlantis, are you sure? I nearly suffocated when I touched the shore (;

  • No religion! That's just the best part
