  • How much dose your rifle way

  • uhhhh u use the lightest rifle in the world lmao i know a lot of spins except that one lmao bt yeah

  • White rifles wiegh 1-2 pounds

  • Excellent job for someone who has never been trained..... Goes to show how far an individual can bring yourself if you love what you're doing enough...... Your pure enjoyment comes through in your "performance". Keep going and enjoy yourself :)

  • If I make a response video (seeing as I'm not in guard or ever been in guard) will you be mad? :D

  • oh jesus just let her have fun with her rifle!

  • ok you wearnt ever in guard ,suprises me ,but lots of things supris me, so let me ask if youv'e never been in guard then how did you learn to spin and wear did you get your rifle from just asking ,oh also just asking did you ever know eneyone in guard ? just asking ?

  • @ColorGuardGeek1028 No, I've never been in colorguard. I was section leader and drum major in my high school marching band for several years so...yes I did know people in colorguard. Got my rifle from the high school when they got new ones.

  • @chelseas21 oh totaly makes sence to me now

  • @ColorGuardGeek1028 gota love drum majors thats cool,,band and colorguard united as one ! together we are the show !!!

  • i think she has done this before you just dont start doing left handed drop spins even if your left handed

  • This is awesome! (:

Your better than me on the rifle :(

But then again almost anyone is :p haha

  • I wanted to take my rifle with me, but weapon like things weren't allowed at my dorms and could be confiscated by campus police!

  • youre good :D i could learn something from you aha

  • its pretty good since you had no formal training.

    :)

though you have to watch your free hands, attack your flats (you catch your rifle on an angle, catch it when the barrel is flat and parallel to the ground) and when you set and catch make sure you cover the nose and the butt of the rifle.

and i personally think that the black tape is distracting and kinda ugly.

i usually opt for all white.

it's more expansive, but it looks ALOT better.

  • I agree with a lot of the people here, for someone who never learned formaly you're pretty good

acctualy you're better then some of the girls on our guard (sad but true), keep it up :)

  • @paulebeth I appreciate it

  • @paulebeth ....the girls in my schools gaurd sucks ass... lmao well except one she went dci.. but the resst suck ass x_x

  • Colorguard is gross...

  • @SoyBobMac you're gross

  • @chelseas21 haha, thank you. I just don't like colorguard spinning.

  • @SoyBobMac what you dont like colorguard, I'm in colorguard and its the greatest thing that has ever come about in my life , the feeling of performing for hundreds of peolpe and fans is just amasing .i love that feeling you get when you do an awsom tosse and the crowd claps louder and screams for you its just so amazing, but i think what i love most of all is the friendship that i have with my team \ its just like wear one big crazzy family ,who is always going to be there for each other .

  • @ColorGuardGeek1028

I don't like it because it's not my style. I don't like flags and sabres.

I like 10 pound rifles, not 2 pound rifles.

    Way funner.

I do the same exact thing but with ROTC and I will do it for the Marines one day. :DD so I guess we are alike but different.

  • @ColorGuardGeek1028 Actually, I am the drill team commander at my school.

So no, I'm not holding resentment for not making try outs.

  • @chelseas21 I just am not a fan. I'm on armed drill team for SVHS NJROTC and I think that colorguard is just more lame. I know it's fun and shizz but I'd rather have a 10 pound rifle with military precision.

  • @SoyBobMac f u

  • @SoyBobMac that is really rude and inconsiderate. As color guard members, we work our asses off to perfect this beautiful art ,and until you can do better, you don't have any right to be so negative. Seriously, did you get cut at tryouts and hold resentment, or are you just trolling because no one else will talk to you?

  • @orangepeacesigns ya you tell him!

  • @SoyBobMac wow your a moron then why the hell are you watching this video?

  • lol dude thats not even a rifle thats a peice of wood painted white with black tape thats not really tallent its just picking up sticks and twirling them around sorry but this isnt really good

  • i like it! :] just watch your free hand when u toss!

  • i love how you assume that you're so good we would think you are on guard. that's a little cocky and if i saw you doing that i would assume you tried out for weapon line but didn't make it so your trying to work on your tricks. but that's admirable i suppose

  • @chickadea90 nope. got bored in high school, learned how to spin, never on any kind of line or performance team, and this is how I killed some time in college.

P.s. Assuming makes you look like an assh*le. :-)

  • wow ok gud effort but gurl no that is straight up horrible first of all dont prep for a single second free hand also catch at the nose and end odf the butt those weren't tricks they were very poor basics

  • how r these "tricks" they're just very bad basics

  • I liked some of the moves. You should work on your free hand though.

Of course another thing that makes me cringe a little.. Lol.. Catch at the tip!

It also makes a move look great when you have an nice, hard hit at the points where you stop like catching.

A firm stance is also important too instead of having one foot slightly in front of the other. The basic stances are either 1st, keeping your feet together, or 2nd, having your feet shoulder width apart.

    Byee! Love the rifle tape.

  • this was really good! can you tell me what the name of the song is please? thank you! :)

  • @Carex3Bear2009

it's a song by 12 Stones. I forgot the name of it but google the chorus and you'll find it.

  • thanks!

  • Get a real rifle :-)

  • for not being on guard... your pretty good :)

  • That looked really smooth. But you didn't look too strong. With rifle, you really need to look strong and in control. Box your elbows out. Watch your chicken arm. When you catch your tosses (or back to right flat or left flat or whatever you call it), make sure your hands are at the end of the rifle. All the way at the rip and the butt. It makes a big difference.

  • Love your transitions! they are so smooth!

  • I love to teach myself tricks. I hurt myself alot!!! Ive got to try that first trick you did. It looks so difficult yet it seems so simple.

  • wow ur like me that u just learned it on ur own

  • maby she cant spin a actual heavy gun the one shes got weights like 2-3 lb so its really easy. In Drill team im in we spin 15lb guns called exibiton guns or compitition rifles

  • i thougjht the heaviest would be 9.5 or 10 i'm taking you guys spin bayo's ^.^ thats cool

  • i wish we did but like a said we spin compitation rifles with are like 14.7 or some shit so like 15lb no bayo lol i can only wish though are people arnt that good i havent been spining long and im better them most of them im pretty good hehe

  • its 16lb and its the same thing as spining a 5lb rifle i now because i have done both dont asum ok lozer

  • @ilovesal66 im sory but spinning a 5lb rifle then trying to spin a 15 or 16lb rifle is completly different.

  • no on is heavier than the other and it uses more force to make it spin and when it isspinning it is harder to stop it htan a 5poun to a 16pound

  • When will you ROTC people get it that you're the only ones obsessed with how much the rifle actually weighs?? We really really really don't care that much.

  • ROTC- Retards On The Campus

  • @killerboogy69

it's a good thing I was never in ROTC or as retarded as that comment.

  • I know, your jealous because you didn't think of it first.

  • @chelseas21 ha ha that a funny come back but im in ROTC so screw killerboogy69 nice vid tho

  • shut up lol were cool =p

  • i dont want to sound like an idiot or anything but im joining the navy league sea cadets and everyone is on a drill team and goes to compotion but they have been doing it for like 3 or 4 years and im just joining now and im alittle scared that im going to make them look bad, but basicly im trying to ask..........is it hard to learn????

  • @KaylaShow123 I dont think you will make them look bad man if you have been doing it that long. And if your not up to par with the rest of them then your 1sgt or what ever should not let you go to the compotition or w/e. But for me it wasen't hard to learn. I was a natural at it so i learned pretty fast. But i did practice a lot. I bought a practice rifle to use at my house to practice of course. If you really put time and effert into it you will lean fast and effecently. Keep me updated.

  • hey it is ok its ok i joined njrotc it was scary looking at them spin the rifle like it was nothing and i got one it was heavy but know i spinn it exactly like they do

  • um this is not the same colorguard that you are mentioning. This colorguard preforms often with the marching band. And in my opinion yes it is hard to learn starting out becuase it requires a lot of tricks and control. The cologuard to which you are refering im sure is hard as well but once you get it you get it becuase it doesn't consist of so much new tricks and stuff. My husband was on a drill team if anyone wants to know

  • for not being trained you have talent buy when tossing try to catch with both hands at the same time it should be a smack instead of pulling up to the other hand but keep up the work you have real talent

  • oooo def join a guard,

and why would someone get the wrong impression, nothing is sexier than a guard girl :-)

  • that was pretty good for someone whos nver been on a colorguard or whatever :] im doing my school marching band colorguard and i cant even do the behind the back thing haha

  • really nice tricks make sure on your switch tosses though to really catch solid. it looks a lot stronger and neater that way. also you look like you should try the trick called 45 drop spins look it up :)

  • I've been a rifle now going on 2 years and I'm usually never on flag although I try learning tricks. You're doing great for someone who hasn't been properly trained, although I have to say look stronger and catch stronger :)

  • i don't mean to be a downer or anything...but your start stops are kinda dirty, just saying. but your actually really good, especially since you haven't had any formal training. good job and keep up that hard work. your better than 80% of our rifle line. lol

  • wow

    thats amazing!

i dont even know Rifle yet..

and that u've never spun formally or anythig

    W-O-W~!

  • lol those r broomsticks we use those for females to learn to spin less that 1 lb. my school using springfield 1903 around 9-12 lbs.

  • same.

  • Sounds like a good deal. Where ya from (If you don't mind me asking)?

  • san antonio

  • Are they starting an honor guard?

  • no, they just said we didnt have proper storage facilities. they only took a few. They also said we had too many, but we only have like 40 now including 2 teams plus colorguards

  • That means your either:

    A) Using M-1's aquired from another school that SOLD theirs or were SOLD to a private company by the military who ISSUED them to the school that already used them.

    OR

    B) Your using Glendale Drill America M-1's that weigh ~8.5 lbs.

  • yeah. I've spun one. Believe it or not the ones issued to high schools were all the same and were issued in the late 80's early 90's before the '03 were being issued. The heaviest one that was in my high school's stock was just over 10.5 lbs. The only way you would be able to exceed 11 lbs with an M-1 is with a bayonet.

Thanks for adding water under my bridge to float my boat.

  • I wish I could spin in my room. :)

  • i havent seen any one have 15 lbs riffle yet at any competition except for us lol

  • this rifle is a feather compared to wat i use if we were to do dat wrists and fingers would be dead

  • and "we" would be?

  • mcjrotc at ruhs exhibition team

  • Quit foolin yourselves. No JROTC Unit uses 15 lb rifles. the heaviest that they'll get up to is MAYBE 10.5 lbs.

Also i hate to rain on your parade elbeaner6, but i know chicks that can do all of this using an M14 (MCJROTC's prized rifle). Don't flatter yourself or put down a sport that is completely different from military drill.

  • wrong. my unit has M1's that are about 16 pounds.

  • No. They're not. I know the barrel's full of lead, but they're not 16lbs. Anyone who uses M1's knows you're exaggeration juuust a little bit.

  • ours range from 8-13 lbs rifles depending on the rifle.

  • make your stops more firm... good vid tho... ummmm really good for beginners but not for someone looking for awesomely cool tricks!!!

  • i like the first trick, but your catches could be wayy more solid and flat.

  • yeah try that with a 1903 medal spingfeild, you could never do that, turst me i am in honor guard we break our wrists if we try that

  • dats sexy i luv it great job

  • watch your free hands your gonna hit one =0 make yours stops way harder that will make it look like youve got all the answers =)

  • wow thats awesome i luv ur rifle its so pretty mine is just plain w/ green and blue tayp on the strap...lol

  • you should invest into a 1903 springfield, becuase the rifle your using is to light.

  • thats rlly cool :) wish i could do this with my .22,haha

  • How heavy is that rifle? I'm not American, so I haven't a clue what the difference between a colorguard rifle and an ROTC rifle is.

  • I'm not entirely certain. I know that ROTC rifles are generally heavier though.

  • Color guard rifles are either springfeilds or lighter rifles, whereas the armed drill teams for Rotc commonly use M-1s, m-14's and other rifles which are much heavier

  • ROTC rifle tend to be 6-7pounds here Colorguard rifles tend to be 3-4pounds...i think :D

  • rotc rifles are more like 10-12 pounds we use real demilitrized rifles not plastic ones

  • the ones we use are ll 1/4 lbs

  • I call BS.

  • color guard uses wood and duct tape thank you very much

  • Yeah, bump that down to more like 8-10 lb's bud.

  • We spin with either:

    Daisy Drill Rifles- 8.5 lb's

    1903/a3: 8.5-9 lb's

    M-1garand: 9-10.5 lb's

    M14: 9-10.5

    Facsimile Mark 1: 3-4.5 lb's

  • THAT'S TOTALLY WICKED!!

  • i must say u are pretty good considering u have never been in guard. this is my second year and we are just now learning rifle =[ ill put a video of our routine on here tomorrow or the next day u should check it out ;]

  • well since you actually werent in guard i cant give you a hard time about your stops not being flat.

  • ur really hot AND have talent. nice

  • ummm how long were u in guard at that time..... nd wat team r u on now???????

  • i've never technically been in colorguard. Just messed around w/rifles since my sister and friends were in it back in H.S.

  • ummm was the a color guard rifle or rotc rifle?

  • it was a color guard rifle

  • i was wondering how you were spining at the small of the stock.lol

  • ummm easy sorry i aint bragging but i learned this in a day

  • i'm sure you did

  • I love spinning rifle in my dorm freaking my roommate out tossing triple on my knees. He keeps picturing me breaking the light or his head.

Would have liked to see better stops though but I know you probally were just fooling around. Pretty sweet though.

  • you must be throwing uber high triples, mine are like right in front of my face

  • the dorm just feels so small...like i easily touch the ceilling

  • haha. I hit the light in my old high school's cafeteria when I first learned to throw quads.

  • We do that in the band hall but on purpose. I haven't hit the lights in the cafeteria yet but I did hit one of the low hanging banners durring a winterguard practice and almost knocked it down on me.

  • wasnt bragging, just a joke. kinda like catching it by the strap with your teeth, not probable, but entertaining to think about.

  • now THAT'S exciting... :-S

  • umm.one handed double time caught behind ur back. a six with a double spin underneathe it, cought in the splits, behind ur back.now thats a trick(wear a helmet)and challenge urself.

  • no one likes people who brag

  • screw what these other kids are saying. i've been drilling for just over 7 years and you can do better than a lot of guys i know; including the majority of my jrotc armed exhibition team. keep it up. =])

  • thanks so much :)

  • what kinda rifle is that??

  • it's a really crappy practice, colorguard rifle

  • i see, thanks for reply!

  • boo

  • well she's probably using that rifle for practice purposes. anything light can be used for practice, like a baseball bat or a broom. She can probably spin the same for a heavier rifle or "real gun".

Good job! not much girls I've seen can spin.

  • Good Job. but watch ur loose hand :D

  • awesome :P

  • good ideas but the girl dips the rifle on the catches alot! not good. be more solid.

  • agree

  • yay!! thats my buddy !!! woot go potato!!!

  • great job! the spin behind the back is in my solo this year, i love that move! thanks for the video!

  • Then add a bayonet :P. Good effort, some solid stuff on which to build. I always wanted to learn rifle drill.

  • And by nest I mean next. Yay for typos!

  • Nest time try it with a real gun. That should make things just a little more interesting! :]

  • lol great idea! :P
