i never played morrowind but i dont think there are dragons i hear that skyrim is the only one with dragons yet they all have the flag with the symbol of a dragon on it O.o confused....
I still love this game :) I got the GOTY with the two expansions and I still find this game fun. And of course it has low graphics, it was made years ago :P
@Ar0474 i got te GOTY edition too for XBox.Morrowind was release in 2003 that's why he had brownish and old graphics but so far it is the best TES bethesda have ever made in my opinion. I like Oblivion and Skyrim as well but since graphic is not the only thing that a gamer looking at the gameplay was better than TES 4 and 5 but graphicly TES 5 Skyrim is the best for that i only said that because i never try TES 1 and 2 since i was born in the 1990's and im not a PC gamer

@joedude202 They actually already sort of did that. The first elder scrolls game had all the provinces in one huge world way bigger than morrowind and Skyrim. The world was randomly generated though so the it was not as detailed or interesting

Although I like the cooking and crafting system. I have III IV and V loaded on my machine now and it's hard to decide which one to play.

Man, I'm so hyped for Skyrim... Been a fan of Elder Scrolls since Daggerfall back when there were naked women in temples lmao... Ugh, I hate the crap that Oblivion gets. Oblivion always gets compared down to Morrowind. Honestly, it's still a great game. I guarantee you when Skyrim comes out, everyone's gonna bitch about how good Oblivion was and how bad Skyrim is, even though it's gonna be fucking amazing.
@Meescool2 You must admit though. Morrowind had SO much more that Oblivion didn't...but that doesn't mean it is a 'good thing'. Oblivion has a way better story in my own opinion, the graphics are better (obviously), questing is better, and just everything is more...simpler and it isnt as complex as morrowind. So they both have their own unique taste and so yea. People just tend to see more options in weapons and species...this makes them frown on oblivion.

Agreed to Jadiewady and @lpoder985 the graphics are pretty important to me because sometimes i can't see fuck but if i can see the surroundings good and you can interact like with almost everything and good storylines they do not matter so much to me.

I've just started playing this and i am finding it very difficult, i've played oblivion alot but the combat seems to be much more difficult.. every time i swing my dagger i miss, i was nearly killed by a mudcrab because of it! :P Does anyone have any useful combat tips for me? and please, dont flame my noobish skills
@Yokken Alright I haven't played the game so yea somegames with a lot of reading are sometimes annoying, but a good game that has a fair bit of reading is The Quest.

My one issue with morrowind was the running speed at the beginning, I was thinking, hmm I seem to be stuck at walking speed, I zoom out and the guy is sprinting at a walking speed.
Elder Scrolls games were always ahead of others in their time. At the time this came out, these graphics were outstanding! Just like oblivion's were awesome and skyrim will obviously be very good too. Who's with me?

I wonder what it was like to have played Arena and Daggerfall and then Morrowind. It was such a bump in graphics and presentation. It must have been so wonderful.

I know some of you Morrowind die-hards will hate me for this...
I loved Oblivion, in fact it is my favorite game of all time.So, I bought Morrowind, knowing that it's an older game. I tried and tried but I just couldn't get into it. HEAR ME OUT.The whole, reading quest text thing just constantly broke my immersion. I would rather read a TES Morrowind book if I'm going to be doing all this reading... sorry. I know it was great for its time tho! And I kinda hate myself for not liking it...

It's really just a spoiled situation. I also agree that, now that everyone was voiced in Oblivion, it's a little harder to have to read so much dialogue now. That being said, you should really do more reading anyway, eh? :)

Agreed to Jadiewady and @lpoder985 the graphics are pretty important to me because sometimes i can't see fuck but if i can see the surroundings good and you can interact like with almost everything and good storylines they do not matter so much to me.

I've just started playing this and i am finding it very difficult, i've played oblivion alot but the combat seems to be much more difficult.. every time i swing my dagger i miss, i was nearly killed by a mudcrab because of it! :P Does anyone have any useful combat tips for me? and please, dont flame my noobish skills

omg i just saw the elder scroll 5 trailer and i saw the name morrowind and i remember when i was like 7 years old i used to play this xD great memories, the first first person game i ever played the second was halo combat envolved xD

My one issue with morrowind was the running speed at the beginning, I was thinking, hmm I seem to be stuck at walking speed, I zoom out and the guy is sprinting at a walking speed.

Elder Scrolls games were always ahead of others in their time. At the time this came out, these graphics were outstanding! Just like oblivion's were awesome and skyrim will obviously be very good too. Who's with me?
