  • @sativahigh5 "ALPHA SIGMA PI PHI" means that you didn't listen to the lyrics properly. The order of the letters matters.

The "AKAs" are Alpha Kappa Alpha, the first black sorority. The "A Phi As" are Alpha Phi Alpha, the first black fraternity, once home to Martin Luther King. I'd bet money that the "Sigma boys" are Phi Beta Sigma, a predominantly black fraternity. I can't be arsed to look up the others (because I'm English and don't really care) but I'm sure you get the gist.

  • @sativahigh5 Next thing you will be telling me is that" KAM" is alumanatie ,if you havent heard any of there other songs they rap AGAINST the alumanati, and try and warn us.For example in "Terminator X at the edge of panic",the first line is ,"THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS THE No1.KILLER AND DESTROTER of BLACK LEADERS"<<<<<<that sound alumanatie to you, anti government?....

  • Check out beamer Benz or bentley by Lloyd banks. That is how fucking shit hip hop is today

  • ill how lyrics from this album were prophetic in terms as the group's stance in hip hop and the politcal implications they already knew about.....this is the power of hip hopat its best

  • christianity iz a mix of greek mythology and opaganism. and people wonder why we have so much hatred and violence in this world. study the underground literature and your eyes will be opened to the truth. and the truth iz astounding.

  • 1987 shit i feel old lol . these guys hurt speakers world-wide ha ha ,, this music meant something way back then , 1987 that was stock aikean ( ? ) and waterrman right .i never had the radio on for about 5 years because of the toss in the charts thank crap for the superb rap scene way back then ,.

  • yeahhhh man LGKID you have right man.chuck is for me the menthor.

  • Its for real and a deal, plus an actual fact/ It takes a NATION OF MILLIONS TO HOLD ME BACK......Rejected and accepted as a communist/ Claimin' fame to my name as a terrorist..................Houses of CRACK/ I've seen too much/Cold ready, aim, fire and I blow'em up.

All I can say is Chuck's truly the Hard Rhymer. One of the very best of all-time.

  • From the slammer swing a hammer like the mighty THOR

God of thunder, you'll go under - then you'll all applaud

And fathom that distance, that the mad must reap

Meet NAMOR sea lord - prince of the deep

    Thor and Namor

  • Here's one for you

what's said at the end of megablast???

  • 3:25 - 5:15 has got to be 1 of the best rap verse's i have ever heard

  • Next to Shut 'Em Down this is the best tune they've ever released. Seen them live too, bonus considering never thought it'd happen in this life time. :)

  • Actually I love Miuzi Weighs A Ton better than this one.

  • @mike16sad concurred, Chuck drop the bomb with that one, perfection

  • @mike16sad

dead on ...I remember not really liken this track until that last verse came and over took the whole joint.

  • @mike16sad

agreed,,,,, does he stop for breath lol

  • @mike16sad ,everytime I come on here, I give your comment a thumbs up! Many people don't trip off that Chuck just let loose and set's any weekend up! Peace for a true Hip Hop Quotable catch!

  • @mike16sad FACT!

  • @mike16sad More specifically 3:50-5:15 as a total package with D's flow and lyrics and the ill beat changes, this may be the best 1:25 in rap period!

  • chuck d the greatest

  • dope!

  • really like 4 minutes in a half lol

  • yeah I remember them at Nassau Colli' I was just in awe the hip hop was THAT DOPE!!! RunDMC, Whodini (very dope show!) LL, Rakim, and mos def PE!!!! That solidified Chuck D as one of the best always one of my top 5...including kool g rap and krs, redman and rakim..ooohhhh there are so many to go but none after 1995. the rest is just wack..Chuck started that flow with the bassline and 4th bar beat-catalyst for most rappers after this album..i dare anyone to challenge that!

  • I agree completely. Grew up in the era, spun(still spin) the records. Seen the shows. RUN DMC best show, PEs' right there, saw Rakim stage dive and return with a pint of Guiness all of it. I wish I could see JMJ do it again.

Man Chuck don't stop on this joint!

Almost forgot my point. Biggies' gotta be top 5.

  • lol u r a real student of tha hip hop craft ...

    well said

    1L

  • Some people are just born to be MC's and this one of the people who was born to do this! Chuck was so ahead of his time and Flav was ahead of his time as a hype man! Peace to all their fans and real rap will return someday!

  • @LGKids i agree with u playa it gotta happen soon

  • @LGKids I hope so my friend.

    I truly hope it will.

  • word

  • @LGKids Your'e right, real Hip Hop will return someday...

  • @kevzero11 it has...right here on U-tube..

  • @LGKids actually Chuck D was a DJ who got tired of hearing BS rap so he made his own crew and started kicking his own style... #RealTalk

  • @berumen1972 , thanks the background info on Chuck! That voice sounds like a DJ and he surely does have his own style! Peace, true hip hop head!

  • @LGKids

    amen to that bruv

  • @Baber1 , Peace and thanks!

  • @LGKids u are defently right

  • @Geamic3 , thanks and peace! He is on my Top Ten MCee list! Peace!

  • @LGKids It's up to you and me to pass the torch to our kids! All the generations in between seems to have lost it;)

  • @TheOpinionater ,for of all I like the name and second of all, I am right with you, todays rappers will come and go, but will never match the legends! Peace!

  • @TheOpinionater Why pass it on ? Lets celebrate OUR generation music ....

  • @sclapione That's kinda what I meant....if we don't make sure OUR music gets heard by the new new-come'rs, it'll disappear and that would be an awful shame. I'd hate for my kids to be stuck with Lil' Wayne and Co.

  • Chuck D when off on this song!!!

  • Now this album truly showed Chuck D as a true lyricist, the stuff he spit on this album sounds better than all the wack rap today,21 years later!!

  • Even though there is only 5 and 1/2 of music, the point is they could have taken this 25 mins and still be rappin' with fresh stuff. PE 4ever

  • What rap song nowadays even comes close to 9 minutes long, because they dont got shit too say. Public enemy 9 minutes of pure genious, always will be one of the greatest !

  • you should post mi uzi weighs a ton

  • NYC NIGGA EAST COAST

  • PE should do a new version to this song, with the same lyrics,Chuck's lyrics will never be out dated,as well as Rakim's!!

  • Yo!

    U.D.

  • Ahh YEAHHH!!! My all time favorite trak on that album!!! In skool im kool thru out the week when the weekend comes i'm down with the greek!!! Classic just a damn classic!!!! Chuck D iz my Hero of all time!!!

  • Hell yeah larryluvwf,This is classic shit.Hear the Dj just cutting up records. You don't get that shit in hiphop anymore.

  • YEAHHHHHH Cheetie 72, trust me its in my head from a many many many years ago. Believe me when i say i was a Hard Core P.E. fan. Believe it or not it was the S1w's that got my attention when i saw them for the first time in 87 on stage. I thought they was robots because they was very still and moved little. Back then it was only 2 S1w's when i saw them live on the Def Jam Tour with LL, Run Dmc, Kool Modie, Whodini[they stole the show to me], and Doug E. Fresh

  • I was too.I was a fan of nearly all the rappers in the 80's, even from the early years, but what I liked about PE was that they spoke out about black issues.

  • Hell yeah I love that verse. Chuck went off on this song!!!

  • yeahhh Boyeee!!! P.E. in full effect long live Public Enemy!!! I miss the old skool!!

  • First nerd-core rap song?
