@Ruhe1986 Don't quote me on this, but I think you can legally do a cover if you don't use anything from the original recordings. Companies like WMG own the copyrights to the vocal tracks, instrumentals, etc, but if you use your own voice and play your own background music, those companies don't own it so they can't claim anything. But again don't quote me on that.

I agree. Its really rude to complain about a version of a song. When a band does a cover of a song they are basically paying that band a compliment.

Most original artists even take liberties with their own songs and play it differently from what they record. It's easier to destroy than create, people who make negative comments usually aren't creators.
