  • more like there isn't any testing - uke always goes where you want them too....so it's more like choreography in some styles

  • So did you notice by now, that uke could smack you half the time?

No offense, just constructive criticism of what I can see from here.

  • might cry if he keeps gettin stuff wrong(JKS)

  • hummpf, I saw more shihonage then kotegaeshi's in that video...

  • Well I dont study Aikido, but I thought it looked smooth. Id like to see it at about 80% with some resistance. Have you had to use it under stressfull conditions? I find that wrist locks require a good amount of cordination, which is diminished greatly during stressfull situations. I know alot of that has to do with mind set. But I have found them usefull when doing restraints once the person is fairly undercontrol.

  • @SmokenSalemGuns If a aggression is a stressful situation you are doing budo wrong. The whole point of training is to remain calm and in control. But yeah, if all you care is look bad ass, you can learn cheap trick that will work sometime. Its not like a martial mind was require to appear strong and tough. Fuck off!

  • @newtubetubetube Aggression is stressfull. Prehaps you should research the human natural reaction to threats more. Like freeze, flight or fight. Two wonderfull places I can personally recomend to learn such things are the Marine Corps and prison. Either will do. Good luck and happy training:)

  • @SmokenSalemGuns said "Aggression is stressfull."

Hence the martial training. I never claim it was not stressful. You obviously didn't read or understand what i said so i will let you try again.

  • can you do video demonstration of Ikkyo?

  • well ... I liked that lol its funny XP , ,,, I know its not purrrfect movements but it good good ,, I can't understand why they are attacking you samurai but ... oh well x) its their issues not your

  • Good movement and good care for the uke. Nice!

  • Aikido is useless for self-defense

  • @fuckeldackel

Well, so is soccer...? It has never claimed to be about self defense.

  • can u say MMA?

  • those were some good times. we should train again. a schlomo reunion

  • Wow, I haven't received a comment like this in a while. I do humbly apologize for any offense I have caused you; however, I would very much enjoy a proper deconstruction of my technique, can you please elaborate on how it can be improved.

  • dojomania is spot on with the whole "path" and "honest" comments...this video was hopefully for reflection, learning, and fun. Over analysis of technique based on a video is not really fruitful unless requested, and cursory at best IMO.

  • sometimes you are a lil bit far from uke

  • good moves, stop leaning forward that shows your uke is controlling you not you controlling the uke!

  • That was nothing but an extension of kuzushi ... not exactly performed to a fantastic degree either.

    I totally agree with jasonc024

Learn some respect for your art, did you get your dan grade in the post? As for the punishment aspect I assume that's what you got when your sense caught you wearing his belt. I've seen better 3rd kyus, damn it I was a better 4th kyu.

    Bloody shameful

  • Aikido is respect and needs some respect.Peace mates.

  • This is not meant in a harsh way, but, uke's glasses are STILL on at the end ! That says it all about nage's technique! Aikido is not to be trifled with.Shihonage has to be executed with an almost religious respect for correct form. Shiho means four, and that is what it is, the four directions throw, it is derived from the sword. Uke's technique for breakfalling out of shihonage is also lacking, high shihonage breakfalls are especially hard to do..he was doing only low breakfalls.

  • I suppose that means there is much more to be learned.

  • That's the absolute right attitude,Kawaii. A black belt, a shodan, only means that one is finally a beginner on the path. In shihonage, one has to keep uke's arm turned, at the elbow joint, in humans, this can be done specifically, the radius is locked against the ulna at the epicondyle, to keep uke from escaping. If nage does not do this, and still uke does not escape, it is not "honest" aikido practice, and nage and uke aren't doing each other another favors.

  • Any move that gives up the back = fail. He's not even doing it right. You have to be strict with the movement or the guy's just going to yank his hand out of your grip when you turn away from him.

  • well actually, normally the uke is gripping the nage.

  • screw em, if you cant have fun at what you love do you really love it

  • Greetings Samurai314,

I read some of your earlier comments and decided to look at some of your other videos which deserve what you claim, proper criticism. Well here it is: Your attacks are not committed and by the big smirk on your face you obviously don't take this art seriously. Chances are if you were ever attacked in the street and were in a life or death situation, you would either be maimed, crippled or killed. One phrase comes to mind when I see students like this. Money school.

  • this video sucks! Aikido Rulez, but the end os iriminague is totally WRONG!

  • WRONG EXECUTION....

  • i agree especially the irimi nage at the end

  • i agree, that was terrible. I can't believe someone would put this up on the internet.

  • It only makes sense if he were a terrorist and attempted to frighten the shit out of us. Imagine this kind of sick and evil Aikido spreading throughout the world. We all would be doomed!

  • lol, the sarcasm is killing me!

  • good movement from both people, working together
