Just curious, what does level 0' mean, is it under the regular 3' size or is it like a practice round? I'm trying to get back into jumping but my usual trainer is getting more into Peruvians than her Jumpers so I just stopped asking her questions. xD
@screamingnightmares Level 0 fences are up to 2’9” in height; level 1 fences are 3’0” in height; with at 3’0” to 3’6” spread. All the best getting started again! :)
@xxtwister07xx Many indoors look small when filled with jumps. This ring is a whopping 80' x 184' and everything was spaced appropriately. My horse, however, can make even the biggest space look small. ;)
That looks like fun! Iam a big chicken when it comes to jumping, but fences that big look safer and if I was a hunt seat rider, I would just only jump small jumps! That goose would have scared me too!
Well done, Ozzy didn't look like an easy ride! Can't blame him for being afraid of the goose jump though, it looks really odd :L Lovely rounds though, especially the last one :) You rode so well to keep him going forward and jumping fluently, so congrats!
@HorseyBeefs Thank so much! Ozzy isn't an easy ride--you have to ride every step. He is, however, such a good boy. The geese were strange, but I'm glad they were there so he had to get used to weird filler.
Great riding! It's not easy to convince a horse that there really isn't a monster on the other side that's going to get them if they jump. Congrats on the third! Great job and gorgeous horse!
im in the middle of teaching a western trail horse how to ride English and she loves jumping, shes a kangaroo jumper ahaha shes really fast to but she doesnt bend as nice as you horse. good job seen all ur vids with him, hes sooo cute and is doing so good.
@AllAboutTheMusic44 Thank you for watching! It took a long time to get Ozzy to bend--in fact, it's really a new thing for us. Good luck with your kangaroo--Ozzy enjoys the "goat leap" whenever he's unsure about a fence, which is a joy to try to sit. :)
Aw, Oz-Man was just reminding you that he's still note quite grown up yet and that some things out there in the big wide world are still "scary!" :o) I bet that a lot of horses spooked at the jump with the geese, though - that was very strange! Once he got used to the ring and jumps, you guys got around fine - he will only get better as you take him more places, but you know that! Good job getting him over the "scary stuff!"
good job! He has an interesting stop, its never nasty its almost like he just slows down and gently comes to a stop. I have to say though, all your work on turns and gymnastic has paid off, he looked so balanced round the corners and comfortable going fast. Really impressed with all the progress you two have made :)
@Squaccy1 You're 100% right. He's never mean about stopping, it's always more of a fizzle. :) This is the first show we've been to with real "filler" under the jumps. I was so happy with his turns, and even more so, his flying changes on course! Thank you for your kind words, they always mean so much, :)
