I lived in france and its SHIT country! u was in Lyon,if u was in PAris it's more dangerous!! the police beat everyone and the youngsters beat, still everyone and burn building,car,bus...welcome to the real france.. i'm not surprising about this riot it's normal here...

@Anemonicus Where did I write that I wanted kids to be shot? Anyway, the uprising factor (Cf. Riot edition 2005) is precisely the reason why cops are not allowed to use their weapons. That was my point: because the police will not protect ordinary citizens against scums, it is really important for them not to get involved in those strikes - especially for foreigners (easy targets).

You should definitely be very careful when you find yourself in this situation. A lot of students get beaten up by youngsters, or harassed. Anyone who doesn't want to get into trouble should simply stay away from this rioting.
It's getting out of control and the police is not allowed to use their guns - hierarchy's instructions -, that's why only tear gas has been used.

This is slightly melodramatic. The socialist mouvement and the syndicates have been encouraging school children to join in with the rioting. The party in power is just assuming its responsabilities by making the responsable choice, the only viable one for France's survival.
