You can adjust the speed for the decibel level that works for you, and in the morning you have a fresh smelling bedroom to boot. Not expensive either. While pink and white noise are essentially the same sound (the entire range of audible frequency to human ears), in pink noise the volume of the higher frequencies are reduced to make the composite sound more balanced.
