Ozzy screwed up the city name when I saw him, James from Metallica messed up when I saw them in Boston, Rob Halford of Judas Priest messed up when I saw him in mansfield at ozzfest.
Okay, Peter and Ace made plenty of mistakes. But Peter and Ace haven't been playing "Strutter" every night since 1974, so you would expect mistakes. Gene messes up songs all the time - he's more guilty of it than ANY member of KISS past, present of future! Maybe he just gets caught up in the performance, but he's ALWAYS been the worst liability in their live show. At least Ace and Peter have an excuse. Gene's only excuse is that he's careless and a low-grade bass player, at best.
the thing thats great about this line up is if they make a little boo boo, they can quickly recover and almost go unnoticed. with ace and peter they would fucked up, not be able to recover, and continue fucking up... i think kiss made like 5 or 6 tiny mistakes during the whole alive 35 tour. ace and peter made 40 mistakes at tiger stadium during the reunion shows. watch ace frehley live at shefield playing deuce, THATS WHAT YOU CALL A FUCK UP !!!!

Gene's bass tone on this is pretty awesome. I'm a casual Kiss fan, but I generally enjoy mistakes during live performances or even simply the band doing things a bit different than the studio version, rather than a live show that sounds exactly like a studio track.

I love the mistakes it sounds more like a jam session. But I have heard them at the Target Center on th 11-07-2009 tour and they didn't make any mistakes and there was a 30 minute encore. Durring the Lick it Up song they did the intro to the Who's Won't get fooled again. It worked so great with that song. I wrote to Thommy and asked him if that was done on purpose and he wrote back that it was and I was the only one that seemed to notice it.

This original conversation originaly started when I was talking to someone else about how high the ticket prices were for the show the boys did here in Vegas because they started at $300 and went up to $1000 and over because it was at the Palms Hotel. Alot of true diehard fans cant afford ticket prices like that. I was just commenting on how I thought they could have come down on the price a little. Then it got into some other stuff after that. I dont know how far back u read but does it matter?

I have been a KISS fan ever since I picked up my stepmoms old KISS ALIVE III CD 3 years ago. I thought that I would never get to see them play, but as soon as I found out that they were going to be in Pensacola, Florida on October 19, 2009, I KNEW I HAD TO SEE THEM...Greatest night of my life.
Sorry to break it to you but that was not a fuck up. On strutter they were trying to groove to the beat. It sounds preety good too the breaks with just the drums and bass. When KISS fucks up you will know it.
If you do care too much, then you really need to look at the mistakes that you make yourself, and then compare them to the ones that KISS and other performers make! OR better yet, try doing what these guys do! It is not easy by no means.
We make them rich thankyou....and I have told Gene when I met for lunch with him at Caesars Palace one time that I thought Crazy Nights and Hot In The Shade were some of the biggest wastes of money spent on a recording and he agreed with me unsuprizingly of course! I will not disclose what he said the reasons for those abominations were because thats for him to explain to the rest of you himself. But I will say that record componys want what they want and fast!!!!
crazy nights and hot in the shade are both amazing CDs, both have great songs on theme. news flash, forever came off of hot in the shade, they still do that one. hide your heart is on there too, and paul did that on his solo tour. clearly hot in the shade wasn't a complete waste of time. as for crazy nights, name ONE bad song on that CD. they might not perform it now, but considering they play about 3 songs that were made after 1983 that isnt a good way to judge now is it?

I didn't say you can't have an opinion, I said that I think the hate you have for what seems to be everything kiss did after 1985 is unwaranted. You don't have to like the cds but saying they are a waste of time just isn't necessary. As for the sound, crazy crazy nights isn't the only song on crazy nights. Check out no, no, no if you want something harder from that cd. And how am I uneducated about kiss? You're the one ignoring the points I made about their songs to focus on things I never said.

Dont be angry because I get around. Gene and Paul thank me in person every time they see me because I work for them. But of course you wouldnt know that because your too busy telling people they're not entitled to their own oppinion I suppose! This original conversation originaly started when I was talking to someone else about how high the ticket prices were for the show the boys did here in Vegas because they started at $300 and went up to $1000 and over because it was at the Palms Hotel. Alot of true diehard fans cant afford ticket prices like that. I was just commenting on how I thought they could have come down on the price a little. Then it got into some other stuff after that. I dont know how far back u read but does it matter?

Sorry to break it to you but that was not a fuck up. On strutter they were trying to groove to the beat. It sounds preety good too the breaks with just the drums and bass. When KISS fucks up you will know it.

If you do care too much, then you really need to look at the mistakes that you make yourself, and then compare them to the ones that KISS and other performers make! OR better yet, try doing what these guys do! It is not easy by no means.

We make them rich thankyou....and I have told Gene when I met for lunch with him at Caesars Palace one time that I thought Crazy Nights and Hot In The Shade were some of the biggest wastes of money spent on a recording and he agreed with me unsuprizingly of course! I will not disclose what he said the reasons for those abominations were because thats for him to explain to the rest of you himself. But I will say that record componys want what they want and fast!!!!

crazy nights and hot in the shade are both amazing CDs, both have great songs on theme. news flash, forever came off of hot in the shade, they still do that one. hide your heart is on there too, and paul did that on his solo tour. clearly hot in the shade wasn't a complete waste of time. as for crazy nights, name ONE bad song on that CD. they might not perform it now, but considering they play about 3 songs that were made after 1983 that isnt a good way to judge now is it?
