Hi Doc,

I have been retired for 3 years now and at 57 feel very fortunate. I own a few nice guitars and am one of those guys who refuses to pay $70 for a polo shirt even though I can well afford it. What is it about a Collings that makes you feel it is worth the high price tag? I own, supposedly, $25,000 in guitars but none worth more than $5,000 and most much less! Does the Collings, which I briefly played an acoustic in a shop, guitars really justify their cost? Thanks for your feedback!.

i suppose it's up to each person to decide if a guitar is 'worth' what you must pay to own it - i will say it's my impression that these are among the finest guitars ever built by any builder and i also am of the opinion i'm not alone in that opinion!

Sweet chords. The transitions between harmony and dissonance are flowing softly like moonlight on a lazy river. You and Ed did a great job on this one. Collings did a good blend of warm vibrating wood and the all-too-often sterile electron dance.
