Is it safe to cage two leo's together ? Do they need to be male/female or two females only ??? Do they need to growup together in the same tank or can u introduce two juvi's ?
If he pee's on the carpet in the cage how do you clean it.. do you have to buy more carpet every time he pees or poos ?? or is he trained? if hes trained how did you do it?
i use sand for my LG's floor but i heard that it can be a problem but i still want a natural looking vavarium for him do you know what type of sand is best?
@silverfeather988 no sand is "ok" for lgs. but if u insist on it, id recommend calcium sand. but if u dont know already sand is hazardess to many species of reptiles. what happens is that when your lizards goes to eat its prey it sometimes misses and in the process swallows the sand. and most products of sand sold on the market are man-made and when u put them under a microscope, they are square, unlike natural sand which is round.
I love the way your tank has that sliding door...i have 4 leopard geckos in a 55 gallon tank...got it on sale for 1 dollar a gallon at Petco...pretty awesome price for a 55 gallon tank if you ask me...
Hey, I have a bearded dragon and the tank and stuff is very expensive, but I always wanted a leo, and I dont want it too expensive so a 10 gallon tank will work right?
i like the set up...you should put some obstacles in there some rocks for the leo 2 climb on so it can get excercise...just things 2 keep her occupied..because they are naturally curious
now just some advice from one leo keeper to another if u dont hav another leo or u've never kept a leo herez some advice in about half a year u will need 2 get a larger hide i recommend the log hide and on more thing NEVR get sand no sand AT ALL even if it says" hey this wont cause impaction and its good 4 ur leo" because thats 1 mistake u dont wanna make i got some sand and ma leo turned blue and had some slight defectation problems but thatz all clear now that i switched to a carpet
I wont have to change to hide becuase my aldut leo has the same one and fits in it perfect but i am going to get a bigger one any way because U am getting another one to put in that tank april 11th and yeah i know all about leos but thxs

I would put the humid hide on the hot side and get another hide to put on the cold hide.
gmeyer19 3 years ago
It is better to put it on the cool side because it holds humidity longer and the cool side is not that cold so it really doesn't matter
