  • 3 people prefer the Lovin Spoonful..and they're right. But c'mon The lovin spoonful made this shit!

  • Hard to believe this is a "cover". Comes off like a Del McCoury original. Great job!

  • so glad i know about del!

  • i can see these guys hangin some arrogant ignorant nigga rappers who came into town lookin for white women

i miss those good all days....

  • LUF IT...THANKS..

  • Just another FINE example of this band...WONDER who the 2 dislikes could be? Beats me how anybody could NOT like it...

  • i can listen to this a million times and never get tired....

  • They played at UCSB last night. They were great!

  • written by John Sebastian

  • @Virginialogging: Actually Flatt&Scruggs sang the first version in 1965.

  • @RedneckDrow1991 Flatt & Scuggs sang it in 1967. The Lovin' Spoonful sang it first, it's their song.

  • @GYMMYT Flatt & ScRuggs, dummy.

  • I agree with Virginialogging completely.

  • High Sierra Music Festival. Middle of the day. I had been feeling grrrreat all day and decided to lay in the grass at the main stage. Found a spot of shade and Del and the Boys took the stage. I didn't lay down for much long. Got my self up close and got to watch these guys just play and play all around a mic or two. Mixing with proximity. Hot damn! It was awesome. LIfe changing. Bought a mandolin, been strumming great ever since. The voice is just one of those things. Makes me smile every time

  • it would have been nice if they'd have given credit to the writer and originators of this song. John Sebastian and the Lovin' Spoonful 1966.

  • @Virginialogging Yeah...normally it seems perfectly reasonable to not mention, but the way he introduces it it implies it's their song. Not cool.

  • This is how music should be. You can't help but smile while listening to Del and the boys.

  • absolutely great @ 1:22

  • i love this song and all of his music he is the best ever... love DONNA

  • Del and the boys, Top band today !

  • Born and raised in the blue ridge mts love Del and the Boys

  • So what happened to Mike Bubb? What's the real story? All Del would tell me was that "it was time for Mike to go".

  • Del just slapped me silly with his skill!

  • What years did this air?

  • I accidentally ran across this episode when it aired. Their sound hit me in the face and I've been a fan ever since.

  • HHHhhhoooooo Weeeee....mama...get me some water!

  • The A.C.L. special was the first time I saw Del and the boys and I was floored! Jaw dropping musicianship and tons of fun. It really made me into a bluegrass fan, rather than just a casual admirer. :)
