@MegaMoFUnk It might not been brilliant of me to show it in slomo on youtube, because it works less. It works perfect-in fact only if the lead hand drops, which is partly liver protection, partly conservation partly bad form. I have a whole system that works for me-not fool proof, but I have yet to be KOed. I eat a lot of punches w/my forehead, don't use much head movement but a safer bet my chin being tucked. I'm a wrestler karate guy so it's more practical to develop than start from scratch.
@christopheradavid i'm a south paw if it comes to boxing but i am not that well experienced. Though it is very great to see this technique because It's hard to find stuff like this that i can use against an orthodox fighter.
@MegaMoFUnk So do you just box? I know a lot of technique for a south paw fighter in MMA with kicks and take-downs. I am actually Right Handed but love fighting South Paw, because you have the advantage of always practicing with orthodox fighters so you are more comfortable than they will be since they also mainly are used to fighting orthodox fighters and fighting a South Paw is hard for them. Remember to keep your right foot on the outside of their lead left foot.
@christopheradavid i tried boxing but injured my right shoulder and it's been healing for a while. Though, i do want to try out some mma. That's the reason i wanted to learn boxing in the first place. But right now My right shoulder is in need of healing. So hopefully i can start back on training soon.
@MegaMoFUnk And fuck the jab unless it is a double jab with power. Throw right hooks more than the jab and lead with your straight left often. You usually end up eating a weak jab and landing a powerful left. I would do the trade all day long. Infact, as funny as it sounds, my favorit combo is two straight lefts in a row, that's it. It works wonders. They will catch on, but you land them both a lot of the time.
wow, brilliant!
