in reality... less than 3% is actually printed... its not just the Fed who makes money though, it's any bank that can create 90% of any deposit out of thin air. so... 10,000 becomes 19,000, then from a loan of 9,000 dollars, the bank that receives the new deposit creates an additional 8,100 and so on. another thing is that the amount of money in circulation will never be enough to pay back the money owed back to the bank + interest, thus creating foreclosures & bankruptcy automatically

We need a new solution to the production / consumption imbalance. Increasing consumption just won't work anymore, it's killing family life, public life, real life, and the environment. We could decrease production by shortening work hours and ensuring that wealth is distributed equitably, but what kind of a topsy turvy world would that create?
