@Nedspodos He has a special thermostat that is connected to a home brain center that is called CONTROL 4. In which he can control all his media, TVs, lights and thermostats. He can dial from his cell phone to change his thermostat.
It was a happier time becasue the future looked so glamorous and our hoping and imagination made us smile in the longing for the wonderous. Now that we have all this stuff now, its like ehhhh........ :(
@scruffziller Yesterday's future (The Present) wouldn't be so bad if the culture reflected the advancing technology better... Like it did in the '80s!
At the exhibit, you had the opportunity to experience listen to what a 1910 phone sounded like - sort of like modern cell phone. God that makes me laugh!
Actually, most of the featres here---beepers, call waiting, call forwarding, speed dialing---are still in use to one degree or another. So, the old Bell System really was on the threshold of the future back then...Was this filmed at Expo in Montreal? The Seattle World's Fair?
3:31 She seems awfully excited about that DNA.
