You should check out "Soluto". I installed it and my boot time was a little over 3 minutes, and now it's less than 2. (I have a 5400 rpm. REALLY considering swapping this 250GB hdd, for a 64gb ssd because I really don't need that much space. i just browse the web and edit videos.
Takes me about 50 seconds to boot up win7, but I never really use that: what's nice is that I can set it to hibernate and that will only take 20sec. to turn off/on and go into windows. Very nice. I freakin' love this SSD.
@1walkgirl .mkv is a file extension, like .avi, that holds h.264 encoded video which is often used for HD video files. When I said '720p' I was referring to videos that are 1280x720. I was just curious how well they played with your Pro IV.
Actually, go to bigbuckbunny(dot)org and see if you can play any of the 1280x720 files that are marked "H.264" :-)
@1walkgirl Thanks for that. I'm not all that concerned with the 1080p files, as I don't really have many files that big. I do have 720 files that I'd like to output to a TV though.
I did order the 32GB version of the same SSD, so I'm really looking forward to it!
hi 1walkgirl, I need check with you. did your runcore box said PATA not SATA? I do not understand that I received 50mm PATA not SATA. I was order for Runcore IV 50mm SATA for 901. But they give me Runcore IV 50mm PATA. Did it same happen on your box too?
this is crazy MDD charges 2 orders 1st order with $288.56 and other is $308.55 even same part number order. And first order came with PATA and other came with SATA. there's a different price between invoice no. 44419=$288.56 and invoice no.44505=$308.55 even i order same item part number which is Part#: RC3264BL-C. Differences take about $19.99. When i asked refund they can't bear charge of shipping. So i lost worth about $48.56. I really disappointed with MDD
ic... but is it require to pay extra money when item arrive? if my self no around what will happen? can any person of family member can receive the item?
Yes, with me it was $22,-!, it is shipping costs!,
but it is super fast shipping!, I did order on friday, and got it on tuesday!!, it would be monday but I was not here otherwise it would even be one day less!
You did order a very good combo!!
But when you want to put XP on the 32 one you have to make a extra D partition!
Did you using this model RCP-IV-S5064-CE for your Primary SSD? It is 50mm right on bottom PCB motherboard? (hard access). And you use other 32GB Runcore SSD on secondary? Can I know boths model part number please?
So you did install this RunCore Pro IV Light 50mm mini-SATA PCI-e SSD for Asus Eee PC 901 for 32GB on primary mean on bottom PCB motherboard (very hard to access).
And other 32GB RunCore Pro IV Light 70mm mini-SATA PCI-e SSD for Asus Eee PC 901 which located on memory RAM access back hatch (easy access).
The stock 4GB Drive is SLC very fast (not faster than the Runcore) but very small. That is why boot up is nearly the same but if you had tried opening one of those video files from the secondary stock Asus MLC SSD from the OS it probably would have taken 5-10 seconds. Also running any new applications or Operating Systems from the SLC Drive is nearly impossible as there is no room and running applications from the secondary Asus drive is on the verge of useless.
This SSD IS TOO SLOW.

Hello :-)
It does depend if your country does want extra import tax over import stuff!
I had to pay €22,- extra importax over the total amount :-(
Every family member on that address can receive the package!, as it has to be signed for!
I do not think they will deliver at your neighbours or so :O

I tried order this
RunCore 32GB Pro IV Light SATA 50MM SSD Bundle - Includes 64GB MyDigital Bulletproof PATA 70MM SSD for Asus 901
Part#: RC3264BL-C

hi so can say now u using RCP-IV-S5064-CE for your Primary SSD? and RCP-IV-S7032-C for your Secondary SSD?
cronosmachine 1 year ago
Hello :-)
I have the rcp-i-m7032-c pata in the secundairy and the RCP-IV-S5064-CE in the primairy!
The secundairy one is probably not avalable anymore, but the RCP-IV-S7032-C should work also!, even faster I think
:-)

Yes that is the one!, the tiny one!!:
RCP-IV-S5064-CE
The other one si an old runcore pata ssd with the 2 usb connectors, I do not know if they are still available
But it does seem this tiny RCP-IV-S5064-CE will work with all the new other runcores as it is a sata one!!
:-)

hi 1walkgirl,
Can i confirm again with you...
Can I get the model both RUNCORE of yours?
I'm also want to upgrade.
Are you located in asia?
cronosmachine 1 year ago

the xp is on the 64gb tiny runcore, some things are on the bogger 32 runcore, but I have to change that, it is anoying
