I have to say, I liked this video. Reminded me of my Dad. He was like that a lot! He's been gone for 2 years this year. So, I got to say that this song really resymbols my dad, and anyone who has or had a dad like that, this song did bring tears to my eyes. and it got me to thinking.
Loved your video i think everyone with a Dad from that time period can relate to how much they loved us and could never put it in to words to tell us. Your song sums it all up.
Your songs are SO AWESOME! As a farmer's daughter (lol..on the combine), you so perfectly express what it's like growing up on the family farm near Olds, AB, where my Father, at age 84, still farms....and I know always will! You all make us Alberta farmers SO PROUD! Love you & best of all for you!
This song describes my Father to a tee! After the song started, there wasnt a dry eye around me! Thanks again - High Valley! This is a meaningful version versus Bucky Covington!! UGH!
I first heard High Valley do this song at my local church "Country Christmas Celebration". Since then, I was wanting them to come and do this song live at my Father's Funeral. Unfortunately, time did not allow for that but we had this song played as the opening song of his Funeral ( March 28,2011)
This actually brought everything into light for me cause my dad never says he loves me but he does other things to show it and this song shows me that and it made me cry too
OMG-brought tears to my eyes. It pained me to see myself in that father and think of those times I've neglected to say "I love you" to my sons.
Thank you for the words in this song, and thank you to my brothers in MKP who have helped me connect my head with my heart, and express unconditional love to my children.
I'm about to go to college in September and my dad taught me everything I know. If I did it wrong he would yell at me and make sure I did it right. He's never told me he loves me but I can just see when I see him that smile on his face let's me know.
awesome song guys. reminds me of my old man. He only hugged me once as far as i remember n he never ever said he loved me. I can see it in his actions though :) Hope someday i hear it from him.
the first time i ever i heard this song was when i was alone in me jeep. we had rebuilt it together 83 cj5. i can never remember him saying he loved me except that he had allways helped me fix things. i wish with all my haert that he hadnt had a haert attack before i truly heard what he was saying when he yelled at me for not paying atention when the radiator went out.
Heard the song on the radio for the first time today in Grande Prairie. It's like you wrote this song just for him. Every word is my dad to a tee and this song brought tears to my eyes and made me think about all the things he does instead of saying i love you.
Awesome video!! I am from a Mennonite family as well and this song could have been written about my life!!!! Love the hockey sticks and snow as well keeping it truly Canadian!! God Bless!
I love this song.
