if your lights are fucking up your frames, then i think its time for a half decent vid card... i can run almost max settings on an ATI Raedon 4500 with 512 MB... and 8 GB ram dont hurt ;)
@SandburgSpartans good... i personally like ATI's just cause they are a lot more bang for your buck, and work really easily with all my hardware.... nvidias just fuck my ram over cause its like how the hell do you got that much
You can actually get very good frames even with Bloom active when using DX10. Unfortunately this is not a practical reason because enabling DX10 breaks the textures and lights on many addon airports at night. Also the famed Addon Converter is of no use concerning that problem. I can actually run FSX on DX9 with very decent framerates with almost everything maxed out, but it takes kinda sick hardware to do it. The software architecture isn't state of the art...
