Actually according to an interview with Mike he actually wrote a good bit of riffs and lyrics for the first album "The Bastard" but he says he didnt do much writing for the other albums

This song is amazing and this band is awesome. Hammers rule. I hope the new lineup is just as good, perhaps even better. Not likely without Mike, though =/

Mike didn't write anything for Hammers, actually. It's all Cobbett's writing. I'll miss his voice, though.

I didn't know Cobbett was the ONLY one who wrote for the band. But still, it's hard to find a voice quite like Mike's. I have yet to hear the new guy. Hopefully the next album will prove well :)
