Off-topic: I'd like a game that has specializing in crafting with an in-depth system like this and specializing in adventuring. I don't know why, but I'd find that verrrry cool. Before EQ2 came out I was reading stuff that said it would have something like I said, but it didn't. Oh well.

I am going to get Vanguard now! Bought it back at launch - had crappy comp + Vanguard was having a crappy launch = I.F.A.I.L. game back then - seems like it's deff. worth the try!

Man this crafting rocks, I remember I got sucked in this and diplomacy when I tried the beta and I really like it.

Fantastic video! Exactly what I was looking for when trying to figure out if VG was a game I should try. VG is really great now! I call it the best kept secret in the MMO genre. I highly recommend that you give it a try. It has awesome PvE gameplay. One of the best PvE games I have played to be honest.

Its just sad that Sony don't realize what a good game they have in VG and give it all the support it deserves.

I play this once in a while. I have station access so i get to play all the SOE games. Vanguard is pretty enjoyable and has a HUGE world. It's actually so huge that most of the east side of thestra have no mobs. I remember beta. I helped take down a dragon on a final night event.

I signed in on test server a couple months ago when pantheon was in testing. It's been improved a lot. If i mention it to friends, they say they loved it but couldn't get past the bugs. I usually retort saying "So does every other game we play. EQ2 has loads" :D I liked being a ranger in vanguard. I also had a paladin. Both Raki's. :) Oh and a Vulmane Druid. I never managed to level adventuring past the 30s though. Not enough quests for those levels. I find myself grinding till i give up. hehe

Try heading to other continents, that's pretty much the best way to fill in a level gap without quests. Also majority of the bugs have been fixed (though the recent patch borked buff animations, though that's the only major problem I've seem).
