actually i think he was saying since lost is such an amazing show - one of the most innovative and one of the best shows with the best actors, that everyone was surprised they weren't nominated again this year.
conan, conan, (letterman and jon stewart different but equal). leno's stuff is outdated and lame...becoming a republican must have hurt his sense of humor--maybe it's the kool aid.

After winning an Emmy for the first season, Lost wasn't nominated for the second season...
And when Conan says "nothing makes sense anymore" it is a reference to Lost's plot getting more complicated and confusing in the second season.
