@MrKawolsky Actually, the 215 hp 5.0 was in the 94-96 GT's. The 225 hp 5.0 was in the 86-92 Mustangs, if I remember correctly. The 1993 5.0 LX and GT's were dropped to a paltry 205 hp, but the 5.0 in the Cobra's were rated at 235 hp. Both of these are nice cars though.
mustang obviously isnt stock. i can keep up with a 5.0 off the line and begin to pass it around 65. i have a 4th generation prelude completely stock. i love the mustang too. 5.0 is nice. but obviously this is a race of two modified cars. each has their own specialty. the 5.0 when modified is a much better drag car. its one of the top chosen ones for the way the chasis does under high power on the strip. the prelude is a better track car. lightweight with 4 wheel double wishbone suspension

@MrKawolsky Actually, the 215 hp 5.0 was in the 94-96 GT's. The 225 hp 5.0 was in the 86-92 Mustangs, if I remember correctly. The 1993 5.0 LX and GT's were dropped to a paltry 205 hp, but the 5.0 in the Cobra's were rated at 235 hp. Both of these are nice cars though.

mustang obviously isnt stock. i can keep up with a 5.0 off the line and begin to pass it around 65. i have a 4th generation prelude completely stock. i love the mustang too. 5.0 is nice. but obviously this is a race of two modified cars. each has their own specialty. the 5.0 when modified is a much better drag car. its one of the top chosen ones for the way the chasis does under high power on the strip. the prelude is a better track car. lightweight with 4 wheel double wishbone suspension

@yuyusuck : report back when you get one up. I hate to say though, a 138mph trap will outrun a stock zr1 easily on the highway. On a roadcourse, that would be a different story. Im still working on the chassis/suspension modifications and right now it likely wouldnt be able to handle near a zr1.

Besides 4 cylinder engines are limited in the amount of power they can take before becoming gernades on a consistant basis, whare as a small block v8 can take way more power before durability become's a factor, and dont say 4 cylinder engines are faster couse they are clearly not, if they were they could do a 4 second quarter in nhra events but they cant.
