I'm surprised Sega haven't knocked out a new Daytona USA with online play for the 360/PS3, but with Sega Rally Revo flopping, it's unlikely. Daytona USA 2001 in the DC is pretty good, even the Saturn version is decent even though it looks crap.

I feel the same way, this game is just begging to be ported to xbox/ps3 with online support.

However you cannot copmpare Daytona to Sega Rally revo. Revo was a new game, which got pretty low scores in almost all its reviews, whereas Daytona allready has a gigantic fanbase. Everybody loved this game in the arcades, and very few people bought the Saturn or the Dreamcast, its in the millions I know but compared to ps or ps2, so there must be tons of fans waiting to see this game ported.

I fixed it! You must use the Daytona USA 2 Power Edition rom (dayto2pe) instead of the daytona2 rom which is Battle on the Edge.

These videos all make me wish I could get this to work on MAME. I use 0.119, SCUD Race is fine, but thts come up with the error "Unknown Texture Type: FF:". Could some one help?

Man, I have tried many times with 2 differnt pcs and not one has worked for me. I would like to get the first one to work. but because I'm Linux wine just f***s around and dose nothing. I would play this game at Camelot theme park once a year when I would wop my sschool mate's arses but I have herd that it has shut down And there is no hope any more for me to play Daytona usa 1 or 2. Man life sucks. =(

Oh man this brings back so many happy memories of time spent playing this back in the day (1998/1999) or thereabouts. Actually I am fortunate enough to live close to an Arcade that still has one of these bad boys in it and I still play it often. You are a lucky man to be able to play this at home :0)

skeleton081983, go to GameFAQs, search for this game, and read the strategy guide from MKim. It's how I got good at this game, and it'll work for you. ^_^
