@cbmbdb Yes you are correct maybe not for someone like it sound like you have it down. But if you read the other posts ($27 million in property loss) this is for those that can't control the flare ups.
It works the same for both the concept it the same.
Once the oxygen is removed the flare-up can't breath so it goes out.
This is the only invention that has ever been made of its kind to do this, no other grill manufacture can make that claim in fact it's one subject that they stay away from.
For demonstration purposes, we smash the food down causing the juices to drip down into the fire in order to cause a flare up. We are well aware this caused the food used for the demo to dry out; waiting for juices to randomly drip from the food would prove more time-consuming than effective. As our demonstration shows, THE EQUALIZER effectively extinguishes the flare-up instantaneously.
Unlike other grills that require being sprayed down with water or closing the lid to control flare-ups, THE EQUALIZER gets the job done without having to take these extra steps.
Heres a little-known fact the BBQ grill manufacturing companies don't want you to know:
When I first started developing THE EQUALIZER, I mentioned to a friend how well THE EQUALIZER. controlled flare-ups. He went on to say how his grill was the best grill on the market and how he did not need any flare-up control.
One week later, his grill caught on fire so badly that he had to expel an entire fire extinguisher on it! Needless to say, his best grill on the market had become land fill fodder!
i would buy it.

does it only work on charcoal grills or do you have a system for gas also???

Standing over the food mashing on it and making it flare up isn't doing anything but drying out your food. The fire works don't make it impressive.

Each year an average of 6,500 grill fires result in nearly $27 million in property loss
U.S. Fire Administration 2002
(I am willing to bet that the numbers are much higher)
Fact: There has been no significant change to the BBQ grill since this study was conducted.
In our demo, we even pour OIL on it to simulate fat drippings in order to illustrate how
THE EQUALIZER makes your grill safer to use!
NO OTHER GRILL COMPANY CAN MAKE THIS CLAIM!
