  • @COOLRADIUM Ralliart starts at 32k and GSR Evo starts at 42k. Evo MR starts at a brutal 48k... all of that is before our 13% sales tax. You see a ton more Ralliarts on the road than Evos in Canada simply cause of the price difference. Bang for buck wise we can tune a RA to near Evo numbers for 500.00 and save 10k, all while getting the sweet TCSST tranny.

    I'd buy a used GSR over a used RA... but gladly buy a new RA over a GSR. If we had the USA prices... then it really would not be a question.

  • @CaptObvious75 DAMN.....WHOA. I don't even know what to say. I guess I'm lucky to live in the US then. I feel so bad for you guys. I guess I would have never owned my EVO MR if I'd lived there. C'mon. $48 grand plus a 13% tax for the MR! 0_o. SAD......What a rip off. I consider that RAPE. I payed $33,000 for my MR with a trade and no down payment.

  • i own a ralliart, the car is bad ass. May not be as fast as wrx stock, but a couple hundred bucks later and your putting up numbers close to evo x. All around a better value than wrx, without a doubt.

  • @mitsufq360 the mazdaspeed 3 has a lot of power and cheap compare to Ralliart but IMAO i hate the smiley face on the front bumper looks ridiculuos mazda really messed up with the design...the ralliart has a lot of potential just a few mods like AMS base flash, cat back exhaust and intake and your good to go....thats just me....enjoy your MS3!

  • @NasahrSandi9 I love driving this car! Honestly, I love driving it so much, I take it out for drives when I have absolutely nothing to do, hit up some canyon roads, punch it. I am running a Cobb stage 1 map, about to go stage 2, but I am consistently running 0-60 in straight 5.

    I would gladly take this Lancer Ralliart over a Peon SRT. Your right a Peon SRT may be faster 0to60 & 1/4. But a all wheel drive car is just safer in every day driving situations.

    And Peons are just Ugly cars to start with.

  • One, All Wheel Drive is not more safe (especially in the implementation by Mitsubishi). The Evolution has been known for having the ABS system lock up on very heavy rain. Second, while this car may be better on the interior, it's certainly not as aggressive or good-looking on the exterior. It resembles the base Lancer more than the Evolution.

  • Well as a Service Rep for Mitsubishi..All I can say is your full of CRAP!

    There has never been any known problems with any Mitsubishi anti-lock systems in any type of weather conditions! And as for your comment about resembling bas models.

    The SRT is no more than a base Peon with a rear spoiler & 17 rims @ some silly looking graphics.

    And get your facts straight about the saftey aspect of AWD cars. They are far safer than 2wd in all conditions. Thats why most Auto Co. have them as a option.

    As to the problems with the ABS, go to GTchannel and look at the video with the Supra, Evolution, and RX-7 racing.

    The SRT doesn't have graphics either, you moron. The car doesn't resemble the base model as much as the Ralliart does with the Lancer. The front has a completely different design (which the Ralliart does not), and it has a different body kit.

  • And whoever told you AWD is more 'safe' was high. Its only benefits are increased acceleration and higher grip on certain conditions (though tires have a lot more to do with traction than anything). Having AWD won't magically make it more safe in a 40MPH crash or when driving at high speeds.

  • the car better than this. Problem is Mitsu fuked up with the tires. They hold the car down; even Edmund said a tire + wheel change is the first thing u need 2 do; improves stop feet, slalom, skidpad and take off marginaly. And 5.8 secs for a 3,500 sedan with only 237 horses is A LOT. This car has the same 1/4 mile time than a 300C SRT-8 with 425 horses.

    and no, the Gen Coupe 2.0T is not near as good performer as this car! new WRX, well they fixed it up real fast! :D

  • its there version of a wrx. if you want speed get an evo or sti. if not get the 2.5i or regular lancer. theres no middle car

  • the car needs a lot of work to compete with the wrx, but i think mitsu will get it right in a year of two. I'm tired of everyone coming out with triptronic paddle shifters. everyone's not a race car driver as much as they want to think, and it expensive to actually get it to work on a daily driver, hence the only good ones are on exotics and top end cars. car does look aggressive which i give it credit for that and only that.

  • Uh, wrong, the Ralliart comes with Summer tires, putting better tires on it boosted the number dramatically and beat the WRX. (The WRX comes with better tires than the Ralliart)

It's okay tho cuz a lot of people will underestimate the Ralliart, I took my good friends 05 Sti (Injen intake and Hks Turbo back Exhaust) In my 09 Ralliart (Stock) with 250 miles or so not even broken in yet he was pissed and was acting different for the rest of the day hanging out with me...

  • The 0-60 time is wrong. They say its 5.8 but its 6.7. According to roadandtrack, autos, and other varies sites. They say its 6.7 and rough 6s.

  • You are also forgetting the fact it has sportronic and paddle-shifting available which changes the timing alot. Earlier shifts make for a faster acceleration.

  • He doesn't. He prefers the less powerful version of the Evo, which is the regular one with roughly 300bhp. He was driving around with the beefed up UK FQ360 version, which isn't offered in North America or Japan.
